Makes Pen Assembly Quick and Easy
I’m still relatively new to pen turning. I watched a number of pen making YouTube videos where people did pen assembly without a press, and while a press isn’t absolutely necessary, I decided to avoid the frustration of trying to maintain part alignment. I purchased the Milescraft after using another brand of press in a pen turning class and after doing extensive reading of online reviews of various competing brands. I chose the Milescraft because of the spring loaded sliding plunger and flip-stop length adjusters. Adjusting the press setting, fitting components into the press, and making sure everything is properly aligned is quick and easy with the Milescraft. The plastic end piece with a hole in it makes it easy to press on the end of the pen without marring the plated finish on the business end of the pen. So, while I have only very limited experience assembling pens, I can say the Milescraft pen press has made the job simple.

So glad I bought this
I make a lot of pens. I have two other presses for assembly and this is by far the easiest and fastest to use. It was money well spent even when I didn't really need too. I would buy another one without thought.

Best design
By far the best style of pen press out there.

excellent tool for pressing pen parts together
This is an excellent tool for pressing pen parts together. It is easy to use and I've had no issues with it at all.

This is the greatest pen press I've used (and I own 3)
I had 2 pen presses. 1 is mounted to the wall (and the one I use the most), and one is a combination press and dissassembly unit. The one on the wall literally broke its casting, which shouldn't be possible just putting a pen together. The combo one doesn't really lend itself to mounting on the wall, plus it is more complicated and time-consuming to use.Instead of getting the same model as the one that broke I decided to look around. This one is a *little* more expensive, but I'd say it is worth 10 times more than the one I replaced. This one is WAY more sturdy. The soft foot is not only easily replaceable, but it comes with a spare. Instead of having a bunch of plastic blocks to keep track of (like on the old one) and that are always getting dropped behind the lathe, this one just has metal blocks that flip aside. It is nearly instantaneous to change the height up and down, and the blocks are incredibly solid. It has a drawer to keep the extra foot (or whatever else) in. It works extremely well when mounted to the wall, and has a removable spacer to allow the handle to swing all the way up for that purpose. In conclusion, I haven't seen a better-designed nor better-constructed pen press out there. It isn't much more than a cheap one, and it is literally 10 times better. I would highly recommend it over any other I've seen or used.(I edited this, there was one thing I wish was better on it in my original review. Since I have it mounted to the wall I wished the handle went all the way up and out of the way. It turns out there is a spacer you can remove made just for that. So now I'm going to say that it out absolutely perfect and I couldn't find anything to change on it.)

Great product would be better if all the parts came with it
Press itself works great unfortunately the bolts that hold the handle on did not come with it. Currently trying to get hold of company to see if they cost extra.

My second one....
This is my second purchase of the Milescraft pen press so, obviously, I am very satisfied with it. This has a few minor differences from my old one that seem to make it just a little easier to use. Overall, I think this press is well worth the cost.
