Great wading boot to pair with waders
The Frogg Toggs Hellbender wading boots have been excellent. I ordered one size up to accommodate my wading pants with built-in neoprene booties, and the fit is perfect. Recommend wearing a thin wicking sock beneath your waders to prevent chafing. The lugged soles offer great grip, and the lacing system is quick and easy—these boots go on and off without hassle.I’ve used them for kayak fishing in Florida over the past year, and they’ve held up very well. My feet stay warm and dry, even in wet or cooler conditions. Surprisingly, even during Florida summers when I wear them with wading pants in rainy weather, I’ve had no issues with my feet getting too hot.I love these boots and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, comfortable wading footwear.

Comfortable and great value
These are outstanding and a good value. Just make sure that you get the right sole for the kind of fishing you are doing or the surface you are on. If you’re on slippery seaweed cover rock, you don’t want the hard soul you want the soft one for grip. Also make sure that you go a full size up from your normal shoe size because you need to fit the waders inside. Then they feel awesome.

Super light and roomy
This is my first pair of wading boots, so I don't have much too compare them too, but I liked the construction and the fit. The price was great too. These boots come big, with plenty of room for a stocking foot wader. They are very light weight, so I plan on wearing thick wool socks in cold water, but they should be comfortable in warmer water too with regular socks. The sole was soft and sticky, and it had bosses for cleats if you so desire. I'll be using these for a week of river fishing in August in Alaska so I'll update this review if anything changes.Update: I wore these boots 10-12 hours a day in Alaska. They were very comfortable whether I was fishing from a skiff or walking a stream. The material allows them to dry fast, and they are very lightweight. The leather boots some of my buddies wore were heavy and took forever to dry. And they didn't take up much of my alotted weight in my luggage. I definitely recommend these.

Good enough
Solid for the price, they fit well, are comfortable, light, durable, but the traction is good out of the water, good on sandy/gravel river beds, but not great on bigger rocks with algae

Nice boots for the cost
I've always used trash boot with waders. I got these to help me stay upright in rocky water and they work well. Comfortable and they seem well made.

Rock solid 💥UPDATE 💥
Excellent much better then the cleats I have. Comfortable no SLIPPAGE, fish a lot in rivers. Compared to the cleats these are so much better. Didn't slip once.they don't gather silt and mud as well as on the inside. The sole looks solid will see how it holds up. They are very comfortable went with my shoe size and the fit is fine. Could've went up in size but there fine. Price is fair so if they last 2 season or more money well spent. If I remember...if.. I'll update my review late fall. Very pleased and again there better than the cleats. I was confident in the water with each step an not slipping. I would recommend them.from May to October they held up fabulously. Put a lot of miles and hours of wear on them. Only issues laces wore out and they take forever to dry. I'll stand by my review I like em' 👍 💥UPDATE 💥 JUNE 22ND 2025 Still look like new Lotta wear Lotta use. I would definitely buy another pair when they get around to wearing out.

Great fit
Fits perfect. I wear a size 8 shoes and I ordered size 8 boots. I was skeptic about the shoes not fitting with neoprene socks from my waders and regular socks in those. Shoes were perfectly wide enough to accommodate all those extra pairs of clothing. Feels comfortable. Do not need to go one size up. They thought about it when making these boots. Awesome! Just gotta test them out on the river now. Would recommend just for that
