It works great with an 18” roller, once you get it on. It’s a little tricky getting it on but after that it’s great.

A really useful roller, but not the only one you're going to need
I really like this roller frame as the clips stayed in place and it rolled pretty effortlessly with an 18" roller. There are only a few drawbacks to this is that you are going to need a pole to attach to this as it doesn't have a handle (no big deal, but in case people didn't realize this at first). The way that this mounts, you will get some black transfer from the uprights if you run it against a wall or trim, so be careful when you get close to corners or trim. Also, if you have an 18" roller and the area you are painting is 20 or so inches, this won't fit making vertical passes. Outside of that this is pretty nice and is perfect for when you have big open rooms as you can cover a lot of real estate quickly.

Perfect for small or large projects
You have to get this if you are even just paint a small bedroom. I paint our mailing living and kitchen area with this size, and it is worth every penny!! It does make a little bit more of a mess than the smaller roll, but you just gotta be careful and prep the floors around you and dont put a ton of paint on it to go on smooth! So glad we splurged and got this and the bucket to go with it

Do yourself a favor…
The double armed designed allows you to put even pressure on the roller, minimizing runs and lines in your paint. The arc of the frame allows you to roll the wall without taking the roller off the wall. This roller saves so much time that I had to force myself to slow down. I wish I would have bought one of these years ago. Do yourself a favor and get one!
