Loved the OEM look it helped me achieve for my installations on my car, it blends in with all the factory wiring. be careful when choosing thickness as these expand quite a bit but they dont get smaller, so you may get a but of extra space if you use a larger diameter loom. I feel like my wiring is very protected now with this. Easy to cut with scissors too but it still feels like the right thickness and not cheap.

I used this shield to encase homemade solar extension cables. Using 10 AWG cable, it's a very snug fit for both cables in the shield, but I was able to make a 40 foot extension cable and with the cables in the sheath, and everything stays nice and tidy. I will use this for all my solar extension cables.

Frays really easily if you don't use a hot knife. If you do use a hot knife the cut end will not expand.. So delima... I ended up using heat shrink on all the ends so the fray didn't effect the look. This stuff seems sturdy and strong. Made the project look great.

Read the description carefully, it has its purpose but not what I expected. My bad, this is not good for existing wiring. It’s not sliced along its length! Not for dropping wires out of the loom along the wiring route, must push wires through opening on end and terminate at the end of the route to your first location, this complicated things for me, the loom is ironed flat too and it was difficult to install the wires. I ended up returning it. :-(

FYI this is a perfect size for the cable for all minelab manticore search coils. Just fits over the cable ends all you have to do is cut it to length it'll be a much nicer fit I wish I'd known this because I had to ordered a 1/4 and the 3/8 inch.

This stuff unravels at the ends like crazy once it's cut to size. Make sure to add some length to make up for it. Honestly to save myself the hassel, I'd rather use the plastic stuff with the split, but this is a nice design and it's different. I can tell which lines I installed over the factory installs, which helps if I need to make any adjustments.
