Crosman Softair-Stinger 34 Tactical

OK as a 44 year old avid shooter who lives in frigid ND and has a medical condition that keeps me in a sitting position in bed, I needed a way to target shoot indoors and in our bedroom. So I decided to try some airsoft guns because they shoot plastic pellets, aren't overly expensive and can be used with the Crossman gel target, ideal for indoors. This gun exceeded my expectations in every way. First off as a military vet who has shot the real thing numerous times, I was impressed with the realism of this rifle. The range and accuracy of this weapon is great for target shooting. Both the old school peep sites and the cross hair attachment target is very accurate once it's sighted in. The cross hair target has to be adjusted frequently tho, it moves easily. Having the extra magazine is nice too for airsoft wars which I hope to do once I feel better. The gun is made up of thick plastic so it has a real feel to it and seems fairly durable. I have had it for a week now and shoot it nightly. It hasn't jammed once, although once in a while you shoot two BBs at once. Basically this is a fun little gun that kids and adults who refuse to grow up will really enjoy. Thanks to my amazon prime membership this rifle, my pistol, some of my ammo and my gel target promptly arrived within two days after ordering. The price of $34 dollars was great too. I will definitely be buying one of these for my husband so we can have some airsoft wars once I get diagnosed and healed. Get this gun it rocks!

Gun came in today and I decided I would try out its firepower. Unfortunately, it took me forever to load the bullets from the reservoir into the magazine until I discovered how to do it more efficiently; you first load up the reservoir 2/3 of the way, not all the way. Then pull the springy thing all the way down and slide it into the little space they give you to lock it in. Then tilt the magazine on its side, with the spring facing down. Shake it a couple times, then turn it vertically upside down to let all the pellets roll to the top. Repeat until desired capacity.Firing power is pretty good. I shot it at a Coke can. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't allow me to post links in reviews otherwise I would've posted the pictures. The pellet blew through the front of the can and came out the back. The shot was from about 20 feet away.The reason I am not giving it a 5 star is because of the stock. There is a hook thing that you pull up to unlock the stock to extend or shorten the length. However, that mechanism is extremely unstable and wobbles when I run.The effectiveness of the rectangular scope it comes with depends heavily on how you installed it. You have to move it around and keep on testing the accuracy until you feel it is accurate enough. If you don't have the patience for this, I would stick with the circle thing that is built in with the gun.There are better guns than this out there but this one is by far the best price:quality ratio out there. Sure there are some really nice guns but those cost over $100 each and ain't nobody got money for that!

It fired just a handful of times before it started misfiring. 1 in every 2 or three shots simply doesn't fire. I pull the charging handle, the gun goes "bang", but nothing comes out. Also, when it does fire, even from about 2 yards or less, it's impossible to hit the target. It randomly spews pellets anywhere but at the target. You have to be less than 1 foot away from a 4 inch target to hit it reliably. I have owned several airsoft guns and some had small issues, but I've never heard of one this bad. This is simply a worthless piece of junk. If you want to use it for display purposes only, fine, but if you expect to hit something from over 1 yard away, or even for pellets to come out of the barrel, forget about it. The worst part is that after I bought this I was too swamped with work and stuff to use it for a while and now it's past the returnable period, so I'm stuck with a gun that costs more than the walmart version and doesn't even work! Crossman has become the biggest joke.

Although I wouldn't recommend this for young kids, hahaha.I bought this to shoot squirrels that were eating the bird food out of our bird feeder.We didn't want anything that would kill the little buggers, just something to give them a good scare.This does an excellent job!It is much more powerful than I would have thought. I actually had my wife shoot me in the stomach to seehow bad it hurt before I would start shooting other animals, and it leaves a pretty good size welt!It is incredibly accurate! I am an experienced shooter of actual guns, and this does a great job.I am only shooting critters from about 30 feet or so, but I feel that I could hit them at 100 feet if I needed to.It is made of almost all plastic, but it feels very solid. I think it will last a while if used properly.It is a single shot model which makes it tough to get a quick followup shot, but I knew that going in.If you use this for serious Airsoft competitions the single shot might be a deal breaker, but this is very funto plink around with.
