Magnificent pen
An excellent fountain pen at a great price. The nib is so smooth it provides absolutely flawless writing and the highest level of comfort. I highly recommend this for any pen collector or ordinary pen user

Quality Pen
I'm a fan of Pilot Fountain Pens and I like their Fine (Japan) nibs but this one is my favorite because of the color. The pen is light compare to many fountain pens and it's a little smaller so if you like small pens, this is perfect. The nib is not scratchy it's just not as smooth as my other Pilot fountain pens or at least to my preference but it doesn't bother me, just a little work on the nib will take care of it. Some people prefers like this, with a little scratch so I don't take it as a negative, it's all about preference. As it is, it writes beautifully. You will not regret it.

Good Pen
This is a great little pen, but the Prera is just as good at a better price.

Best fountain pen bar none
This pen is extremely smooth, always writes as soon as pen is to paper, no skipping!! I have a $750 Monte Blanc fountain pen and this Pilot is absolutely as good. Side note: I left my pen in my shirt pocket and my wife put it through the washing machine with the other clothes. It never leaked at all. Not even a drop. And when I took it back, took off the cap, it wrote first time!! What a pen.

Pretty to look at, but not Pilot's best work
I had my eye on this pen for almost 3 years before I finally bought it. I LOVE Pilot pens. Most of my favorite fountain pens are Pilots - they are usually so smooth and consistent, just a pleasurable writing instrument all around. I own around 30 fountain pens and a third of them are Pilots: Metropolitans, Preras, Vanishing Points, you name it.But - this one has turned out to be my least favorite, unfortunately. I adore the way it looks, but functionally it's just not on par with other Pilots. My primary complain is that the collar containing the feed and nib comes unscrewed pretty frequently. It seems as though unscrewing the pen cap continually loosens the feed/nib unit. I have to rescrew the unit in at least twice a day with just regular use. Doesn't sound like a big deal and maybe for some people it won't be — but for me, when I have so many pens — and none of the others have this issue — it just feels like an unnecessary pain. And I don't think there's anything about this nib that makes it any better than my other Pilots. In fact, I prefer the feel of every other Pilot nib I own over this one, including the ones on the more affordable Metropolitans.I don't completely regret buying it. I love the look of the black and yellow, and the pen isn't unusable. It's just not the best. If you're looking for a daily writer, or if this is going to be your only fountain pen, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you're a penhead with a collection and you just love the black and yellow look of this one, you could do worse. But you could also probably do better.

Excellent lightweight fountain pen. Good flow and snazzy design.
Wow what a great pen. Lightweight, smooth nib, typical very fine width as in most Japanese F nib pens. Great ink flow. Smooth section, which is important for left-handed writers who don't like the flange just above the nib that some pens have.

Amazing nib!
Amazing nib, smooth as a gold nib with a little bit of bounce. About the same weight as a Prera, but a little longer. I purchased the fine nib in yellow. Thank

classic but bold
The Lucina has become my every-day pen. It has the classic design of a much more expensive pen, but comes in bold colors for a unique and fresh look. The writing is very fine without ever skipping or scratching; however, there is some feedback with all Pilots. In a comparison trial, I alternately wrote with this pen and with a Pilot Metropolitan, using the same ink brand. They were very similar, but I thought the Lucina was slightly smoother.
