Excellent quality Duosida Electric Vehicle Charging Unit
As stated in another review by Mr. Connor, this is a Duosida charger. In my opinion, it is an excellent unit. I installed an EV charging unit at my daughters house, which cost over five hundred dollars. But my electrical panel was full, there was no way to get a 240 line into my garage. My dryer plug is also too far away to run a cord to my garage from it. So after watching some videos on how to combine two 120 circuits, to get 240, I made my own 240 outlet, as pictured. But I didn't want to spend another $500 on a charging unit for my house, not knowing for sure this would work. I purchased this unit from Primecom/Amazon for $229 and everything worked just fine. It charged my EV last night much quicker than my factory 120 unit that I had been using. And, that unit was starting to apparently have problems? The cord from the outlet was getting very hot during charging. The metal "hanger" that Primecom included with this unit is also very nice. I can't say as to how much faster this unit charged my car, I do not know how to figure that, but it was faster. I would guess at least three times faster? (You should only charge your EV to 80%, if possible, which will make your batteries last much longer, or so I've read). I've read some reviews where other charging units were difficult to attach or remove from the vehicle. This unit is very smooth, attaching and being removed. I would say it is easier than my factory unit at this. I wrote this review because I'm so impressed with this charging unit.

Perfect Charger for our PHEV Chrysler Pacifica
Let me just start by saying my house is old and therefor trying to track down an open breaker to accommodate a Level 2 charger was already a large pain in the butt than anticipated but when I found a standalone outlet it was a NEMA 10-30 "old dryer outlet" plug. 😒 I needed 20+ feet of cord between the plu and available space for me to park my van at night and this charger is absolutely perfect. Quality is better than the manufacturer provided Level 1 charger I received when I bought my 2020 Pacifica. I love the easy read digital screen that tells me if there are any charging errors, elapsed time of charge, current kWh charging rate, etc. Everything about this charger is heavy duty from the cord thickness, to the exceptional quality of the plugs itself. I especially appreciate the cover for thr vehicle plug end so that when the cord is not charging, it is covered. From unboxing to installation this product is extremely easy to use, even for someone who has never owned a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) [I would be that person!] I did a TON of research before purchasing and am extremely happy about my purchase.

Reliable charging solution if you need longer reach to your car
It takes under 4 l/2 hours to charge our Rav4 from 1 to 100% and about 3 l/4 hours from 17% to 100%. There may be faster charging solutions but this works for us as we charge in the evening when our daily travels are over. This is the only 50' charger I could find, and we need the length to keep from having to shift cars around in the driveway. Have used this for a month, perhaps 2/3 times a week with no problems. It seems to be well made and, so far, reliable, which is great because finding a cable longer than 25 feet is next to impossible.

Not durable. Would not buy
Worked great for 2 years. Charger control board then failed. Out of warranty period. Manufacturer wanted $180 + Shipping for repair. Something at this cost should not fail 2 years later

Awesome Deal. Perfect Charge Record.
UPDATE: So glad I went with this charger for my i3!! This helps you charge much faster! I have this plugged into my 10-30 outlet for my dryer, 30Amp outlet. Now we can really get the most use of the vehicle and know that it won’t take 18 hrs. to charge through the horrendously slow Level1, trickle charge. Level 1 is such a joke! Long cable so it reaches my laundry room just inside the garage so no new outlet installation required. $aver! Also, service from this place was perfect. I ordered the wrong plug type for my outlet. I called them and they priority shipped the right one, no addition charge and included a pre-paid envelope to send the other one back. Love that the plug head is removable! No Charging errors since using it. I would have constant charge anxiety with my BMW Level 1 charger. Constantly stopped with Charge Error. Awful. No more issues. Thanks!!!!

Micro Switch issues, wire size could be better.
I used this charger on a new BMW X5 45e and it does work ok when it engages. The problem is the microswitch engagement lever. There is a catch at the connection port that allows the car to start charging when it senses the plug is inserted firmly and switch lever "drops" into the detent in the socket housing. But it does not engage every time. You have to either lift up on the lever with your thumb until you hear a faint click of the internal microswitch, or lift up on the nozzle itself, and sometimes it will engage. (Plug feels fully inserted) The charger that comes with the BMW inserts perfectly and never fails to start charging. (It's only a 120-volt charger, not adequate for home charging quickly) This may be just a defect on the one I received but not enough of an issue to go through the hassle of replacement. It is working and may just need time for the catch to engage more easily through constant use. At least I know the workaround, so it works for me. Just be aware that this can happen. Aside from this glitch, the charger and components seem well built and works great. (See wire comment below) This charger produces a much faster charge than the BMW 120-volt version. One other note, the charger comes with many power plug options which is merely an added adapter to the standard 14-50P plug. The one I got with the 10-30P "dryer socket" option, comes with a "pigtail" adapter to adapt from the standard 14-50P plug on the charger to the 10-30P plug. The pigtail is 12-gauge heavy duty wire. The lead-in to the charger is a much smaller gauge and tends to get "warm" at 4700 watts, which typically indicates some current drop in the wire. This lead-in wire should be at least as large as the charging cable, which is 14-gauge. (2.5 mm) I can't read the gauge of the lead in wire; it has been shortened enough that the AWG is not visible. But you can see in the picture, it is smaller than the charge output cable. The pigtail never gets warm.

Excellent value and easy installation!
So far, Primecom 220-240 volt 16 amp EV charger is excellent for value and ease of installation! Using this charger for 2 weeks now and it charges my 12 kwh plug-in hybrid BMW X3 in just a few hours compared to 12-14 hours using regular 110v house current. My garage already had a regular 220-240 volt NEMA 10-30 electric dryer outlet and all I had to do was plug one end into the NEMA 10-30 garage wall outlet and the other into my car. Quick and simple! IMPORTANT: this charger has a max of 16 amps ... I know there are chargers with higher amps (32 or more amps) but my X3 only accepts a max of 16 amps ... so, read your car manual and make sure you match the amperage if the charger to your cat ... even if the other chargers will match whatever amps your car takes, there’s no sense in paying for greater amps (because it won’t charge any faster than your car’s max amps). Also, if you already have a 220-240 volt outlet, make sure you order the correct plug (mine was NEMA 10-30). Included in the package is a screw-in bracket with screws to hang the cable in the garage wall and a cap to mount the standard dispenser (on the wall) that connects to your car. Some lower priced sellers of the charger did not include these accessories so, carefully study what’s included. It remains to be seen how durable and long-lasting this charger will be. Only tine will tell but for now, I’m very pleased with my purchase!

was good for a few months, then plactic release broke.
The charger was good for about 4 months and then the release clip started sticking. We kept is coiled up on a hook and didn't drop it or anything. My wife had to bring her car to the dealer to remove the charger handle. I tried it one more time on my car and with a little struggling, I was able to remove it. I have not used it again. I called the phone number on the listing and a someone answered. I was going to ask if I could just buy the cord and handle, but he said he would send me instructions on how to fix it. I never heard from them again... tried calling a few times, but no response. $400 for four months - would not recommend.
