Brilliant ,done the job during lockdown .
My bmw 320i was stating battery low needs charging so I read all the reviews and took a chance with this little charger , really easy to use as I watched videos on YouTube on charging bmw batteries (never knew the charging point is under the bonnet not in the boot where the battery is ) simply clipped red clamp to red positive black clamp to negative metal stud then plugged into extension lead and turned on power ,I was checking it every 30 minutes in case it overheated but it stayed cool to the touch and turned itself off after about 3 hours saying fully charged ,very pleased with this charger for the price .

Compact design with a solid feel and easy charging
This was purchased as a replacement to my aging Halfords charger that had more joints in the cable than I can count. I was drawn to this given it can do sealed lead acid batteries as well as well as standard car ones. The unit is quite compact and well designed. Being small, it's got a small cooling fan at the end which is whisper quiet. The LCD display gives a clear indication as to the state of charge and is much more accurate than the previous basic ammeter that I had. I'm guessing that this is sold in dual markets given the apparent Russian and English on it. The display isn't fully English but still clear to understand. Of particular use is the pulse charge function. This can be used where a battery is old/run down and won't take a charge any more. It rapidly pulses current on and off to the battery until it recovers. I've had a couple of sealed lead acid batteries that have now come back to life using this so quite happy with the results.

Easy to Use and Brings the Battery Back to Life
I got this when my car battery kept going flat, and it's been a real help. Setting it up was straightforward, just connect the clips and plug it in, and it shows clearly when it's charging. It works quickly and I noticed the battery held its charge much better afterwards. The casing feels sturdy and the cables are a decent length, so it's easy to use in the driveway without stretching things around. I like that it can also be left to maintain the battery without overcharging it, which is handy for times when the car isn't used much. Overall, it's a reliable and practical charger that takes the stress out of dealing with a dead battery.

The Buddygo does the job no problem
After a week laid up, I went to start up the car and the battery was completely flat. We tend to forget that today's cars are far more draining on batteries and leaving them parked with the alarm on for days can often result in a flat battery. What to do? I quick scan of Amazon led to the Buddygo charger on special offer for under £18, delivered next day for free on Prime. Upon receipt, I promptly connected the charger to my car battery and left it to charge. It worked no problem and I was able to start up after leaving battery on charge for 5 hours. I have now fully charged the battery, without needing to use the pulse repair setting (which can take up to a day). This charger is great value for money and does what it says it will do - charge your battery. No need to spend loads more on other far more expensive units to do the same job. My car is an E90 3 series BMW, so the Buddygo works on this no problem. Like many more recent cars, mine has two dedicated connectors to attach the positive and negative charger clips, although you can if needs be attach them directly to the battery depending on requirements. The unit is light, small and portable, so it can fit neatly into your boot or even the glove compartment on many cars, although the power lead is quite short and you will need an extension socket unless your garage sockets are very close to your car battery. I highly recommend the Buddygo, as flat batteries are likely to become a more common problem, especially in winter and with more people working flexibly. The problem can be avoided by charging up whenever you leave your car parked up for any significant length of time.

Saved my battery and saved me a fortune
My car has sat unused for two months and I wasn’t very surprised that it didn’t start. The battery was showing 8 volts on a meter and was fully discharged. I assumed it was game over and I’d need to spend around £100 to replace it. After reading the reviews here I thought I’d give this a go for the sake of £20. Left it on the ‘pulse repair’ mode for 12 hours (which after reading elsewhere on the web I’m dubious actually does anything... but still) and then on normal change for another 8 hours. Low and behold! The battery is back to life, back in my car and I have £80 to spend on something more fun! I also have an older battery in the garage that has sat fully discharged for about 8 months waiting to go to the recycling centre. After my success on the other one, I thought I’d give the charger a go on this one. Initially it showed an error and refused to do anything - I put it on pulse for 12 hours and after this it let me select the normal charge mode. 10 hours later it’s showing 12.6 volts and fully charged! Now, I know it’s unlikely this battery has been fully returned to its previous capacity and capability given the length of time it’s sat and the sulfation that will have occurred - but at worst I have a backup in the garage to get the car going if I get caught out again with another flat.
