Pentax 39892 Waterproof Remote Control Black

This remote is work excellent with Pentax K-70. Shutter and "Tree/Three Tree" button is work fine for take a photo. The Tree/Three Tree is use for re-focus it's works.

This remote worked as designed. I set up 2 Pentax cameras to receive the remote and both of them fired off flawlessly.

Always takes a picture. Nice small size to hide in your hand. Waterproof. Must be pointed at the front of most cameras (check yours), but also works from the right hand side of my K-r Pentax, back to about a 90 degree angle. So practice with it before the big family portrait. Battery not replaceable. Function key doesn't work with all Pentax models.

The battery in this remote was dead on arrival. Pentax/Ricoh, in their (lack of) great wisdom, designed this remote so that the battery can NOT be replaced once it has died. The battery is spot-welded into place and any attempt to remove it will most likely destroy the remote in its entirety. When the battery dies, Pentax/Ricoh must expect the consumer (us) will just toss the remote into the electronics recycling bin (or trash) and just buy another. The problem is Pentax/Ricoh hasn't produced this remote in YEARS, so any still available for purchase are most likely dead in their package. Save yourself the money and disappointment and do NOT purchase this remote!

No where in the damn description did it say I needed a baby Philips head screw driver! So now I'm stuck here like a jerk waiting for my screwdriver to arrive and it'll probably be late tomorrow! Thanks!

Worked great right out of the box.

Replaced an older remote. Works ok.

Does its job very well and can really fit anywhere so you always have it with you. Its small size makes it easy to misplace though. That's why I had to buy this one! Battery apparently not easily replaceable but my first unit worked for almost ten years so I figure I'll more likely misplace this one again before the battery dies. The Fn button doesn't do much on my K-5 and K-70. The "near tree/far trees" button will focus on my K-70 but not the K-5.

Microtelecomando, che funziona benissimo solo a brevi distanze....

ich hatte bisher 2 no Name Fernsteuerungen für meine Pentax Kamera und beide funktionierten nur wenn ich auf wenige cm herging. Die Pentax o-rc1Fernsteuerung funktioniert auch auf etwas größerer Entfernung zuverlässig. Für Nachtaufnahmen auf Stativ und Supertele ein muss. Würde sie sofort wieder kaufen.
