I first got these and hoped he'd just be occupied for the afternoon as they seemed cheap and boring to me. However, it's now one of my 7 y/o son's favorite toys now (up there with Legos in his world).

I purchased this set for my 7 year old daughter and she loves it. She’s always been a plus plus fan but we’ve never had such a large container or base plate before. The wide variety of colors and the use of the base plate have allowed her to bring her imagination to life. The pieces are small, so better for an older child. They are very sturdy and if you arrange them the right way, you can make them into 3-d shapes. The base plate it great because it give you something to build off of. We love this set!

I bought this product for my students in 1st grade and they love using their imagination to build things. I wish it came with a book with more ideas on what they can build.
