These are very accurate and there's not a whole lot to say because if you're buying this you know what they are for I personally depend very heavily on reviews that are posted on Amazon, as do many other consumers. I not only read what reviewers say, but look to see what their pictures reveal about a products true quality and description. I aim to not only feature the products I review in many different aspects, analyzing many qualities, I also provide my own opinions on ALL the good AND bad experiences I have with the product I review. I take time to learn and use a product as it was intended before I review it, and I have used this specific product thoroughly. My rating system: 5 - Met all my expectations. Was described and pictured perfectly. Exactly what I wanted and needed. Extremely useful product and a great value. Would recommend to family and friends. 4 - Very good product. Exactly as described. May have a minor flaw, mentioned in the review, that does not detract from the products perceived value. Would recommend to family and friends. 3 - Average product. Not exactly as described, or misleading advertising or product pictures. Possibly substandard build quality, or something else explained in the review. Would mention as an option to family and friends, but not recommend. 2 - Wouldn't recommend this product. Poor build quality, not close to being as described. Flimsy and fragile. Difficult to use due to product flaws. 1 - Do not purchase whatsoever. Usually only given if product lasts only a few hours/days/etc. I do not leave 1 star reviews without contacting the seller. I got these for modeling, holding things together with weight. I've discovered that you can also use them in wood working. The measurements are 1 inch across, 2 inches on the side and 3 inches wide so you can use them to measure table saw heights, squaring things, and router sets. The ones I got were a little greasy at first, but when I was using them for railroad modeling, I wiped them and used wax paper to keep the gunk off my buildings. Very useful.

Very versatile and easy to use and they look good. I’ve used them as machinist’s jacks, for squaring up stocks, as a vise stop and for other things as well. They were well worth the $ and I plan on getting another pair.

First off, in reference to the dimensions; the set I received were well within spec. I measured the 1" and 2" dimensions each with two different micrometers, which both gave a reading within 0.0003 " of spec dimension for both the 1" and 2" width, on both blocks. This is well within the stated spec of 0.0005" I only had one caliper capable of measuring the 3" dimension, but it also was within spec, for both blocks. The finish on the through-holes, including the threaded holes, is .. meh. As others have posted. The ground/lapped external surfaces were of suitable quality, and were coated with machine oil, as expected for a highly polished tooling block. Not sure why this surprised some, maybe it is from people not used to precision metal parts, components and tooling. It would be a surprise (and major warning sign as regards quality) if they were NOT oil coated. From reviews I read, I figured the only gamble in buying these was the dimensional accuracy of the blocks, and at least for the set I got, that they were within spec (I would have returned them if not - you should too!). For the price these are great - 4 out of 5 stars for the overall "finish" (through holes in particular). I would buy again.

I find myself needing a couple 2x4 scraps fairly often, to set parts on for hammering out stuck pins or shafts. That can be a wobbly headache, so I decided to buy these for stability, and versatility on heights. They've worked out well for that. Having holes allows me to position the pins & shafts over the holes, to tap out on just one block, or for bigger pieces, I can balance even odd shaped parts on the 2 blocks, using 1-3" varying heights, to stabilize & get a better angle on the pin. It's been very handy for me - used in this manner. As to the intended purpose, I have no idea. Pros: Smooth, no burrs, no rust. Straight edges, no wobble. Right angles, no tipping / variation. Feels heavy, & so far - no dents from hammer misses. : ) Cons: None, so far. Overall: They're a bit smaller than I'd like, but I wasn't willing to pop for anything bigger. They are what they say they are.

I'm not a machinist but I use these for setting up jigs for welding and other things and just spray some anti spatter on them everytime before use. They are cheap enough I don't worry about if they get dinged up or weld spatter on them. Would definitely recommend them won't find them cheaper then this. While I can't confirm if they are accurate to +/- 0.0000001" but they are plenty accurate for my use.

Well-made and what I expected. You must clean off the machine oil before using.
