It Works
Works great. When mixing the product for a "uniform color"....another way to determine when its ready is you will notice a very distinct smell of dead rats. As I was kneeding it with my fingers I checked my entire backyard looking for a decomposing rodent, only to find out it was the mixture within my hands. Good stuff tho. 20 yr old generator tank that replacements no longer exist, this sealed it up nicely.

works good
After doing lots of research I bought this item about two years ago, only after someone drilled a hole in my fuel tank and stole my gasoline. This item was easy to use, you just grab it and mix it by hand. I would recommend using gloves, and before you place it in place make sure you scuff up the fuel tank to help it bond better. the last one I used lasted two years then fell apart finally, so I just ordered another one and re-patched up the hole. it should last me a while, and it's better than replacing the whole fuel tank. note: the reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is that the first one I bought started to cure way faster and I had to rush to patch the hole. The second one I bought was a lot easier to mix and did not harden that fast but whiting 30 min of applying it, it was hardened and ready to go.

saved me a pile of money
i came to my car (scion xb) one day and there was a huge puddle of gas under it. something must've come up from the road and put a small, pencil-sized hole in the tank (tank is plastic, with fiber mesh reinforcement). had enough fumes to make it to the nearby toyota service center and was told my only solution was a new, $1200 fuel tank. so i had AAA tow it to my house, and had amazon deliver a tube of JB Weld same day for less than $15. next day i was up and running again. it's been a few weeks now and i believe the repair is permanent -- no moisture or indication that the repair won't last. it's as easy to use as you'd hope and seems to work equally well. saved more than $1185, so i couldn't be happier. 2 thumbs way up. UPDATE: failed after about 5 weeks. i was convinced i had a permanent repair after 3 weeks, but my repair started to drip. my gas tank is plastic (2008 scion xb) and the repair is on the bottom. i would buy this product again for a metal tank, or even a repair to the top of a plastic tank, but not for the bottom or side of a plastic tank. bummer. i still give it 5 stars, as the company website warns it does not work on some plastic and i am sure it works well for metal tanks.

this has so many uses around the gas tank and related parts
well worth it as it withstands gas exposure.

Works perfectly
I have a 35-year-old metal 2-1/2 gallon gas can that I made the mistake of leaving sitting on a dirt and gravel floor. After a few years, the bottom had rusted a hole through. After sandblasting it, I found about 15 holes. They ranged in size from 1/2" to pin holes. I like the can, so I decided I'd try to fix it. I used metal prep to stabilize any remaining rust, let it dry well, and then used half of this tube. To cover about a third of the circumference lip where all the holes were. I tapered it back about a quarter of an inch. It sealed perfectly the first time.

It kind of works
It’s kind of hard to deal with and I ended up just replacing the fuel pump anyway
