Pocket tool
Quality is excellent. Just the right size and tools for everyday carry.

Cool, but small
This is a lot smaller than I anticipated it would be. It's got some cool features but the build quality is about a 7 out of 10. This is OK for a backup tool to keep in a backpack for use in a pinch but this will never be a daily tool or one you depend on all the time.

Great pocket carry multi tool
Always been a Leatherman fan and have carried a Leatherman Squirt in my pocket. They quit making them so I went to the Micra, but needed the small pliers and not scissors. Enter Gerber vise. Love it!

Keychain broke 8 months in
Purchased 8 months ago. Its purpose is to live on a keychain until needed. The tool itself works well but the key chain has broken after 8 months of living on a keychain.

Compact take along light duty multitool.
This is better for more rural use as opposed to the Gerber dime, which more suited for urban, personal grooming. The Vice lacks the scissors & tweezers. But the Vice has an extra serrated blade along with the regular slip joint spey/pen type blade. It's thicker than the Gerber dime but gets rid of the annoying protruding bottle opener the Dime has. They both have the same tiny file with the 2 dimensional Phillips, which is better used at a 45° angle than fully deployed. I wish Gerber would have placed the keyring/lanyard hole on the other end, away from the blade use end. Use a Nitize lil S beaner to attach it to your keys or whatever, so you can take whatever off before deploying the blades for use. Light duty pliers, not designed for big nuts.

Don't waste your money.
Hmmmm........Not a really useful tool, really not for every day carry. The various tools/blades are too hard to fold out of the handle. And the one I got seemed to be full of fine grit in the moving parts-you know, like when you get sand in a folding knife? The mating parts of the pliers make that gritty sound when they move. I hosed it down with high pressure quick evaporating electrical cleaner solvent from a can, with all the blades/tools out, dried it off, then hosed it down with Break Free CLP, let it sit opened up for a week for the CLP to dry, and it still feels and sounds like it's full of grit. It's a little big to keep in my pocket with my Leatherman Micra (have carried that for the last 23 years)and my tinkerer model Victorinox Swiss Army knife I've carried for the last 10 years(carried a Swiss of some kind since the late 70s). The plastic on the handles actually seem to make it uncomfortable to use, and build quality is just not what Gerber was 30-40 years ago. Threw it in my knife/tool collection, and I will probably never use it, as I have much better tools available. Like many other once top notch manufacturers, Gerber has seemed to go downhill, and is no longer a relevant maker of useful stuff. It's almost like they sit around and design things to look "cool" with no intention of anybody actually using them.

Wow, amazing!
This is an amazing little multi-tool for the price! It's solid, substantial, and Gerber quality. I wanted a mini multi-tool for my work bag (book bag) for basic things (screwdriver, PLIERS - not scissors, and knife blades) and this Gerber Vise is perfect. Nice bottle opener too! Well worth the $11.30 price tag from Amazon!

Tiny, but handy.
I wasn't looking for this, but I ordered it because it showed up as an add on for another item. When I came in I wasn't expecting much, but to my surprise it seems to be pretty good quality. I carry it in my EDC for work and it has come in handy so far for small jobs. I like the small size and the fact that it's easy to pack. I say sure, get you one. Gerber makes good stuff and for the price you can't go wrong.
