• PROs: Including a Mechanical Pencil along with the 4 ink colors is such a great idea! There is also an eraser hidden under the cap. You access the Mechanical Pencil by clicking on the CLIP. Then keep clicking a couple more times to make the pencil lead emerge. The ink writes smoothly with no bleed-through on thin paper. It has a soft Comfort Grip on the barrel, which is a nice touch. Costs a little more but seems well-made, and you can buy refills on Amazon, so it’s worth it in the long run.• CONs: Nothing to speak of. The only thing I've noticed so far is that the plastic top for the green ink is so dark that it doesn't look green, but the ink does look green, so that's the important thing.• THE UPSHOT: Recommended. Clever, practical design overall. This is just Day One, but so far I love the Pilot Dr. Grip “4+1” Multi-Function Ballpoint Pen. If my opinion changes, I'll come back and edit the review. Not the flimsy 4 ink pen from your childhood that fell apart... this is a very well constructed pen, has a comfortable grip, writes smoothly, AND there’s a pencil. I use this pen every day, and you can purchase ink and lead refills. An all in one pen pencil, you’ll never need another.

This pen was recommended to me by a friend. She loves it. It is great for people with pain in their hands and fingers. Easier to grip than smaller pens. All the colors work smoothly. Even has a pencil and eraser. I like it for journaling and taking notes and it is refillable. I’m very happy with it.

got this pen a month ago to take notes with for school and the black ink has dried alreadyother than that this pen is really nice just wished that the black ink lasted longer
