Great high quality, effective, little goes a long way
I use a little less than half recommended bottle dosage every day of all seachem ferts (rotate days between trace and flourish complete). Also use online co2 calculator and use just below dose of co2 tank from 5 am to 5pm. Then I air stone at night. Slightly underused recommended fish food once or twice a day. I take no days off. 2/3rd water change and vacuum every 10 days. Perfect numbers and very slow minimal acceptable algae growth on walls to be hardly visibly noticeable. I created my own HOB power filter and pre-filter using a number of materials from amazon sources. I only clean the sponges and not the physical media, squeeze them out in the throw out water that comes out during water change. Aquarium maintenance 101 from a newbie. Use as little substrate as possible to keep plants alive to more easily avoid snails. Clean literally everything before putting into aquarium, better for it to die before going in aquarium than to introduce snails. Scrape the walls of algae at each waterchange. If you get snails, take literally everything out but fish and inverts, and soak it in a low ratio bleach plus water bath for like 20 minutes, this is the only way to kill all pest snails literally. Drain the water to just enough for the fish and inverts to swim and live, then scrub the entire aquarium with a scraper and take out literally anything you can see. Scrape again 3 times. Wipe it all down and make sure all there is you can see is the fish and inverts and clear water. Then wipe again.Add plenty of cycling bacteria from multiple sources you can find on amazon including seachem. Refill the aquarium with the bleach soaked plants decorations subtrate and filter medias. MAKE SURE YOU SOAK IN PLENTY OF DECHLORINATOR AND WATER FOR 20 MINUTES first. None of your plants should die off completely but they will lose and have killed a good amount of their leaves and roots but they should survive and regrow if you fert and change new water and quick cycle with added bacteriaI truly hope this helps. My first year with a fully stocked nano tank has been a lot of time reading and experimenting. The pest snail battle was epic but I've been free for 6 months completely. I win. Oh and didn't lose a fish or invert and plants are beyond original growth. This is with having done zero quarantining or adapting at any point. I also cycled from day one, no precycling.Use a 24 hour light with cycling phases and full K spectrum for plants. It is way easier and effective and worth the minor price increase over standard lights. And it is funAlso add Indian leaves and a UV filterFilter floss = crystal clear water. Chemical filtration is entirely unnecessaryHave had no issues and made zero adjustments in six months everything has been clear and clean, green growth strong, living things have thrived.Electric heater w built in temperature control at 82 degrees for tropical fish and plants

Works perfectly
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had trouble with cloudy water no mattter how many water changes. This is the only product that has helped clear up my water. It doesn’t just bond the debris for the filter to suck up, like most clarifying products. You only need a small amount so I’m sure it will last for a long time.

I have to conclude that this works.
I have had cloudy water to varying degrees in my tank for a good while. I tried carbon infused filter fiber in the filters, which may have helped somewhat but not much and of course I had been doing water changes. I then used the Pristine, I think two times and the water may have looked a bit clearer after a few days, but a week later it was still sort of cloudy. I eventually used API Accu-Clear, it took two doses and the water became amazing clear and has stayed that way for over a month. The Pristine is specific bacteria that eats biofilm, detritus, etc.. The API Accu-Clear clumps particles that are suspended in the water together and they fall to the bottom of the tank or get sucked up into the filter. The Accu-Clear obviously cleared the water amazingly well and quick but at this point, a month later, I have to conclude the Pristine is playing a role, because there is absolutely no algae or biofilm in the tank, on the walls especially, everything is cleaner including the gravel. The intake and outtake tubes of my hang on the back filter are extremely clean and clear, which was not the case before I used this. They really would get mucky in side and out. So I will continue to use the Pristine along which the Accu-Clear as I need to.

My fish really are floating in space
WHOA! So happy with this product. And all of Seachem products!! This pristine is amazing! I overdosed Seachem Stability when I started my tank. It wasn't realy intentional. It was just because the dose for a 5 gallon is 1.25ml which is 1/4 a cap of Stability. I put it in more like 1/2 cap because. Well, I have a betta. Betta's have small bioloads. So the bacteria was just accumulating way faster than ammonia and nitrite were accumulating....this caused a very very thick biofilm. And before my cycle caught up with the bacteria....i was dealing with a very thick biofilm. I knew it would go away as my cycle progressed. And it did. However, that biofilm fell to the gravel as snow.So when I would do water changes that would get kicked up....just fly around the tank....it was bad. So I added pristine. I had talked to Seachem and they told me to wait on adding Pristine until my nitrifying bacteria were established. I waited. Then I added pristine. The bacteria went to work....but man oh man i could literally see the bacteria eating away at the biofilm sediment, my entire tank went hazy....almost like a ribbon of fog was running through it. This was very very worrisome. Pristine actually made my tank cloudy at first....it took about 48 hours to see results.i added it on a friday morning....and it wasn't until sunday night i came home and saw the results. WHOA....it's CLEAR! I am SO HAPPY!!!!! part of me really wanted to think i had screwed something up. I just had this horribly dread i was going to have to do a 100% water change and start over....but that wasn't the case! I just needed to be patient.I am so impressed!!!!I love Seachem. And all of their products. I trust them 100%. And their customer service is amazing! If you need anything just email them from their website.I LOVE PRISTINE!!!UPDATE: So i am still happy with this product. Gravel vacuuming is definitely easier. But i like to give my mystery snail zucchini. I typically leave a single piece in the tank for 24 hours before removing it....i'll remove it and not add another piece for another 24 hours or so...the first time i did this after I'd established the Pristine bacteria into my tank...i went to bed with an absolutely crystal clear aquarium. the next morning i woke up and it was super cloudy! it was obviously a bacterial bloom. and i immediately suspected the pristine reacting to the zucchini. so i emailed Seachem and explained what was going on....and they wrote back and told me that it was indeed the zucchini. i've removed the zucchini. but it's been 36 hours and a 50% water change and the bloom is just now subsiding. i am not going to downgrade my review....zucchini is organic and that is exactly what this product is supposed to do. break down organics. so if you're going to be throwing in large amounts of fresh veggies for snails or invertebrates i would just keep this in mind. i think i'll still feed my snail veggies...but it will not stay in the tank for more than a couple of hours.

Produto top
Muitos perguntam a validade. Os produtos da Seachem costumam ter "validade" de 04 anos.

Excellent product
I bought this to try and help keep the junk that builds up in my Axylotl tank between big, deep cleans to a minimal amount because I cant have a cleaning crew in with him because they would become snacks. It works really well and keeps the water much cleaner and clearer. I also noticed that the detritus worms that would normally grow under my pipes and behind ornaments no longer seem to pop up at all.
