Just what the doctor ordered
There are other options for 30psi, 178000 BTU boiler relief valves. They all cost more b/c they include various bells and whistles. This one seems to strike the right balance between the quality and the price. It's been on for about half a year and has not leaked (knocking on wood) yet. I expect it to continue this way for at least 20 years. As long as it does, this will stay a 5-star review.

No Issues
No issues. Exact replacement of existing relief valve on furnace. Works well (no leaks) with teflon tape - no need for pipe dope. Word of advice... Unless your furnace is pristine, I wouldn't flip the relief valve lever after installation to test the valve. Any crud in your furnace water might work its way into the valve and cause the valve to leak, and then you'd have to flush the valve or clean it. I'm not saying to never test the valve, just leave it for your yearly maintenance.

No leaks
Using a little thread tape and a wrench saved a lot of money compared to hiring a plumber from the oil company. A perfect replacement true to its specs

Low cost replacement that works great
Once a pressure valve lets go, it’s time to replace because the grit causes it to drip. This was a direct replacement on my boiler and had been working fine for the last month.

First Timer Here
Nearly 70 years old and I can finally say, I've replaced one of these. The original lasted since 1985. Time will tell if this one lasts that long...I won't be around to know. Good quality piece.
