Worth Every Single Penny
The media could not be loaded. Could not recommend this product more tbh. It works perfect for not only playing tapes but also recording tapes.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm happy.
I purchased this deck mainly because I received an unexpected cassette tape through a subscription service. The price was reasonable, it had lots of features so I gave it a shot. I do like the overall look of the player. It has a vintage look about it, but being old enough to remember when these were popular I don't recall seeing one that looked this way.Sound wise it's about what you'd think from a single speaker, but surprisingly clear in tone. I did try the line out feature and don't think I'll be using it again. Not very pleasant to the ear at all. Music and talk through the headphones (not included) is very nice for the price point. The radio is actually very good! I've been picking up a station over 80 miles away with very little static.

Junk. Plastic molded into the shape of junk.
I don't just throw around strong words like "junk" haphazardly. But seriously, this is junk. it is plastic molded into the shape of useless junk. I am baffled by the 4 star average on the reviews! I promise you that if after reading this review you still go ahead and buy this, you will definitely remember what I've written here. What's the phrase? Mark My Words. Yeah that's the phrase.Ok - So what's wrong with it? Well, there were 3 things I wanted out of this device. I wanted it to play cassette tapes in stereo (not mono like it's 1967). I wanted to be able to quickly record music ideas onto a cassette. And I wanted to be able to play FM radio. How did it do on those? Fail. All 3. Big time.First of all it's not stereo. If you want to listen to all your tapes in mono, if you want to pretend that you bought this in the 1960's, then buy this. I want to listen to my stereo cassettes in stereo, thank you very much. I mean, it's 2021! Also, the built in microphone is a joke. I was speaking into it from about 12 inches and it couldn't pick it up. There is a mic input, but why would you need to use that when it is advertised as having a built in mic? FM radio? I was expecting a built-in mic. They built SOMETHING into it, but it's not a real microphone. Nope. And lastly, the only way to receive any FM stations is if I hold onto the antenna. As soon as I let go of the antenna the station disappears. And when I say "The Station" I mean THE one and only station that it would pick up. And that station plays music I don't like -- even if I DID want to spend my time holding onto the antenna like an idiot. It's junk. I wouldn't want it even if it were free. And if you look closely, this exact type of cassette player is sold under many other names on Amazon. Right now, I don't see any small Walkman -type player out there that is quality. And so what I've done is I searched Sony Walkman on Amazon and I bought a used SONY Walkman, and chances are it will work just fine. Or it will eat my tapes. I guess I'll have to just wait and see. I wonder why no one wants to manufacture a GOOD portable cassette player/recorder because by reading all these RECENT reviews it still appears to be a very popular item. I have a dozen or more cassette "Mix" tapes that I made back around 1990 and I want to play them in the car because they are the perfect mix of songs and there is nothing wrong with the cassettes. All I need is a small player and a audio cable to go from the speaker jack on the cassettes player to the AUX on my car stereo. Car STEREO. Yep my car stereo plays STEREO! HEll, I think my father's 1970 Datsun had stereo.Anyway, whatever you do, don't buy this. It's junk.

Brought me back to being a teenager
I am so pleased with this cassette player/radio. I wondered if the sound would be good or if it would just be a waste of my money. I was pleasantly surprised! I haven't found anything about this product to complain about. I love the red and black coloration. I love being able to play my old cassettes. And I love the fact that I can even record if I want to. Technology has its place of course, but sometimes a person just wants to simplify. This is small enough to fit inside my purse so it's easy to carry with me wherever I want to go. I give it five stars!

FUN! Pull out those cassettes.
Wish it had the clip on the back to put on waistband. The only con I’ve found. Love that it functions as a radio & speaker as well.
