BLS-12/24BW 12 and 24 volt Battery System Desulfator Rejuvenator

We will use one on our battery bank for our solar system as we have since 2007 We are going to use the other one on our tractors, trucks, car, and airplane to keep the batteries up in the long winter months when we are not using the equipment as much.The trick is that you have to have the charge going up and down on the batteries with the BLS in place, not just down and not just up as there are two sides of the plates that need to be desulfated. We prefer clamps because we move the device outside of the battery box during the Spring, Summer, and Early Fall. Late Fall, Winter, and Early Spring, the device is inside our battery box to give our batteries a little bit of heat. We have done this for several years. Some applications may use the eyelet connections more easily.

This little device saved my entire battery bank in just about a month and continues to maintain the batteries in tip-top shape.This is on a 12 battery bank of thick plate Rolls-Surette S-550 6v.Prior to installing this unit, the system had been run for about 5 years with monthly watering and cleaning. By the time I ordered this, the bank was not charging to capacity and, therefore the system wouldn't last without an almost constant charging.After installing this 6 months ago, the bank now charges fully in about 8 hours and will last without charging for 20-30 hours (the original target was 24-36 hours at 75% duty).This system is 100% off-grid for a 2 bedroom home.

Deceitful description, not as advertised.Length of each lead is 3 foot counting alligator clip with a span of 6 ft. It is advertised as 4 ft length for each lead for a total span of 8 ft. That makes a hugh difference for it to reach across my bank. Leads are taught to reach one end to the other. If it was as advertised it would be perfect for length.* Update * As of 3-24-22 Impact battery will not send the correct item I ordered. They sent the BLS-12/24B which is the 6' span and I ordered the BLS-12/24BW ment for wind/solar applications with 4' for each lead and total of 8' span. They said in their email they will no longer respond to my messages, how's that for customer service.if you order one of these, pay attention to what you receive. I highly recommend not to purchase items from impact battery. All I wanted was to receive the item I purchased. Filed an amazon A-Z guarantee.

I put this on a Diehard battery from 2009 that wouldn't fully chage. Within two weeks the battery was on par with a new one....which kind of supurised me. I plan to hook this thing up to my 640ah 24 volt solar array to keep it from having serious problems. Prolly shouldn't use it on a smaller system (100 - 300ah) as it will keep the batteries pretty low unless you have a decent amount of power coming in from the solar panels.The BLS uses power from the batteries to send pulses that break up the sulfation of the inner lead plates....same as the NOCO battery desulfators. The real diffeerence is that the BLS will eventually drain the batteries so they have to be connected to a charger while the BLS is attached.

I tried this on many batteries, some of which were "dead". One had a shorted cell and was discarded. Others slowly recovered to a well charged battery. Be sure to use the timer method to rejuvenate a battery. If your battery sits around and is not regularly recharged, try this out.

It works great. I like it. One of my 8 batteies was displayed 5.8 volts while all the others displayed 6.8 volts. Two months after I started using the BLS battery life saver, all the batteries displayed the same exact 6.8 volts now. Until now that gives 11 months.

Twice I have ordered a BLS 12/24v Battery Saver with alligator clips. The first time I received one with clips and I was told it was my fault because I did not read the whole description. The picture shows alligator clips, but the very end of the description states o rings according to Happy Iguana. The second time I carefully read the whole description and sure enough, the picture and the description both had alligator clips described. When I received the unit, it had o rings for termination. Not happy!!!

Too expensive, I don't know if these thing function or only help to drain a little my battery bank.
