I also ordered the SeaDog Day/Night and Kohree Natural 921 wedge base dual dome light (white only). I found that the Britta and Sea Dog are in direct competition and essentially equivalent. The Kohree is a completely different design with two replaceable 921 base LED allowing separate purchase of RED LEDs..Britta versus SeaDogBritta Advantages: The more efficient use of space @ 4.5" diameter, w/polarized wires (red/black) 18 White/9 red LED SMD board mounted cast an more even and larger radius light than the 5.75" SeaDog. The prismatic diffuser is 0.6 inches less in diameter but more effective than the SeaDog, The plastic molded base appears to be slightly thicker and more rigid (sturdy) than the SeaDog. Winner = BrittaBritta Disadvantages: White (blueish) hue. Rated at 120 lumens (white). I found I prefer 200+ lumens Natural White for a general purpose dome light in my boat. The advantage of the less blue light and additional lumens worked better in my AARP member situation were I perform detail work & read.Long Term:I've been using LED lights for over 20 years in my boat. They all begin to fail in before the third season. Some completely, but most degrade with partial loss of the SMD array (LED burnout). None hve ever even come close to 25% of the manufacture's claimed hours. The Britta is above average to ones I've purchased before.You can pay 5x more, but they all still have the same vulnerability which is the driver circuit and/or human fabrication of the IC boards.If you do not mind marginal (but adequate) brightness with the blueish hue, the Britta is an excellent choice and will serve you well while saving you a few bucks.6/10/17 - update: Installed the Britta over the salon table on board. Initially both color LED arrays were fully functional and I was very satisfied. My smile must of jinxed it. With a few minutes, the white array began to dim and later produce a sequence that simulated circular motion around the outer ring of LEDs. It then stopped. The white array stopped working. The Red array continued to function normally. Am processing a return of the Britta. Another update will be posted based on the return/refund experience.

I got this to replace the dome light in my truck that was slowly melting the housing over time. The only problems I had were the oddball power plug the factory used in my truck which I simply cut off and crimped on a bullet style connector so I could disconnect it if I need to. Plus I missed the part where the lens is a twist on cover. I realized it after I was putting the cover back on with one of the tabs now cracked <:0The lights are bright! Even the red light. I wish there was a selectable low power setting to use if you want. I also wish these lights came in a rectangler or square base option. I had to make a wood base to cover the sides of the original opening. I may later get some diamond plate instead.Overall, this is a simple install and I love being able to chose between a red or white light or even no light at all. Like the times when parked somewhere in the evening and listing to some music with the doors open and not have to worry about attracting bugs or nosy people seeing what you're doing!The photos were taken at night with no flash.So if you're upgrading your light or doing a new install, this is a light to get!

This is literally just a plastic housing and switch with a few LED's and some thin gauge wire. Very cheaply made, which was surprising considering I paid $30 for it!With that being said, it is working well so far. Installed as a dome light under the canopy of my John Deere Gator. I definitely do not see how this is waterproof since it is so cheaply made of snap-together plastic, but it's fairly protected under my canopy so I don't think I'll have any issues with water damage.If you're looking for something that is high-quality and sturdy, this is not your item. It's good enough for what I needed; however, should it fail, I'll definitely look for a better alternative.

I had a little trouble mounting it on a wall of my van, but it's supposed to be mounted on a ceiling. I thought there were 2 lights in the package, based on the photo. My error. That being said, it's a quality product that puts out a good amount out light, and the red light makes it a total winner for night time illumination.

These are not very bright. I am going to buy a different light because this one wasn't bright enough. I installed under the helm of my boat

I only received one light. All the photos show two lights. No where in the product description does it specify ONLY one light.

Excellent product for my boat dome lights. Careful consideration must have been given to make them the right intensity. Plenty bright. I did however add pulse wave modulated dimmers to the circuit for added control. Must be properly mounted to keep condensation out. Great product, good price. I wish the could have been offered in white.

My second one for my Beneteau....I can see in the galley.
