GRILL HOGS 18" GRILL CLEANING BRUSH

I wanted a grill brush that would not hurt the new baked on black finish that came on the grate with our new grill. The brass bristles appear to be flexible enough not to scratch the finish. The brush overall is a nice design and on a web page looks like a very good quality brush. Due to the heat or occasional rain, I haven't been able to put this brush to work outside yet. But, after close examination of the brush I noticed the twisted wire handle attached to a wood handle, is easy to bend. It will not spring back into place once it has bent. That eliminates the ability to press down hard on the brush to get at those stubborn baked on food particles. There isn't a scraping edge to help either. However, I personally wouldn't want an edge anyways due to the damage it would cause to the grates finish. Having worn out many grill brushes over the years I can tell I will not be happy with the durability and convenience of use with this brush. But trying to find one with soft brass bristles that wouldn't hurt the finish on the new grate is the problem. I am sorry Mr. Grill for leaving this rating and opinion. If after using this brush I find that my opinion has changed, I will gladly update my remarks. 4-15-2014 I was very impressed with the concern from Mr. Grill over my review above. I was immediately contacted and was told they were going to do what was necessary to make the handle very strong, thus eliminating my concern over the long wire handle bending during any aggressive grill grate cleaning. After about 6 months I received and e-mail asking if I would like to try the new brush design and shortly received a brand new brush in the mail. I have never seen a grill brush this nice before. They redesigned the turned and finished oak handle that is triple the length than it was before, as seen in the new photo. YES, I am very pleased to have found a brush of this quality that will be easy and fast to use but won't hurt my enamel grill grate's. Thank you Mr. Grill for listening to what concern a customer had voiced over your previous product design.

What can a person say about a grill brush? It does exactly what it is supposed to do! It appears to be sturdy. I like the long handle which protects my hands and arms from the heat that still lingers after heating up the grill to burn off the previously cooked foods. The length of the bristles seem to clean around the grating easily and for the most part clean even under the bottom side as well. The only thing I don't know at this point is how long it will hold up but with a year warranty I'm certain I will get my monies worth out of it. At a $17 price it is a little more than I wanted to pay but if it holds up it will but worth the price. I would recommend it to every grilling enthusiast!

I have been looking for a grill brush for my porcelain coated grill grates and this one meets my needs and is inexpensive. The grill brush has a sturdy handle that is long enough to keep my hand away from the heat. The bristles on the grill brush are not very stiff and would bend easily if you applied hard pressure, however I did not want something that was very stiff because I don't want to scratch the porcelain coating on my grill grates. I also do not think that it's necessary to apply much pressure to get the grates clean if you follow the cleaning instructions that come with the brush. I used the brush with a little water on the hot grill grates, as recommended by the manufacturer, and the grates came clean even though they hadn't been cleaned the last two times we used the grill.

I went to numerous stores trying to find a brass grill brush because everything I read online said to not use a steel brush on a stainless steel grill but none of the stores I went to (Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart) had a brass brush! I held out and didn't buy a brush I didn't want to and decided that I would look online. After quickly looking online I found this brush by Mr. Grill which had a great ratings and tons of purchases. It also had a killer price. My thought process was that I would buy it and if it didn't work then it didn't matter because I wasn't shelling out much money. As soon as I pulled it out of the box I realized that I made the right choice. I've used it a few times so far to clean the grill after cooking on it and it works great! It has a loop on the end so you can hang it on a hook right outside on your grill. I'm happy and there is absolutely no need to buy another grill brush.

I absolutely LOVE this brush! I previously ruined some nice grill grates by using the wrong kind of brush (steel wire) and read up on my other options. Got new plates for the grill and this brass brush. It is amazing! Hot grill, a little squirt of water, and this brush seems to remove every bit of junk left on there from grilling. The best part is it barely takes any hard scrubbing. Those little bristles do what they're supposed to without scratching my grill surface. Great handle, very well made, the bristles are all still intact. I've been telling everyone I know that THIS brass brush is the way to go. Product as described, very satisfied with this purchase!

The other reviewers claiming the wires are thin and/or bend must have inhaled too many charcoal fumes. This thing is solid oak right up to the brush itself, so there really is nothing to bend. The twisted wire that makes up the brush itself is twice as thick as the wire on my Weber model (that one never bent either, but it is what it is), and the brass brush is extremely resilient. Can't say enough good things about this brush. As mentioned earlier, always used weber brushes in the past and they always worked great. Purchased this one because: a.) It was cheaper than the weber brush b.) The oak handle seemed like it was a smart design, and upon receiving the brush I can confirm it truly is. c.) The wire seemed (and is) thicker d.) Great support from the owner of the company himself (Warranty on a grill brush? Unheard of!) ...and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely recommend this brush to everyone I know, and am a customer for life!

This is an OK grill brush. I am using this on a Char Broil Infrared Grill with Cast Iron grates. I cook a lot of foods with marinades and need to scrape off the burnt on crusts every time I am finished. This brush did an OK job. The brass bristles, which are recommended for cast iron, felt a bit too soft to scrub it well enough. There is no scraper on this so it was more difficult for the big burnt on pieces. I used water and set all my burners on high for 15 minutes to get the grill to 700 degrees, but it could not get all the debris off. This is my first time using a brush this style. I normally use a brush with a scraper. I do like that the handle is long because once the water touches a hot grill, the steam is very hot. It has a nice thick handle but did not perform like I would have liked. It is an OK brush. I will go back to using my usual style brush.

I purchased a brass grill brush at the time I purchased my Vermont Castings grill. The brush served me well and did a good job keeping the porcelain grills clean. However, that grill brush had a short handle and after a few months became flimsy and began to rock as I cleaned the grill. I came across the Heavy Duty 18" Brass Grill Brush by Mr Grill and I have been extremely pleased with the product. It is better made than my last brush and the long handle keeps my fingers far enough away from the heat that I don't fear getting burned. The trick to cleaning the grill and keeping clean is to do so after each use when the grill is hot. If the grill cools down, the brush is not as effective because the remains of what was grilled become hardened and more pressure needs to be applied with worse results. I found that by spritzing some water on the grates while cleaning or dipping the brush in some water improves the cleaning results with much less effort. (I think the steam helps in the cleaning process.) I definitely recommend this brush.

Leichte und mittel schwere Verunreinigungen hab ich damit sehr gut entfernt bekommen und den Grill nicht verkratzt. Ich grille aber nur wenige male im Monat. Die Messingborsten sind nicht so hart wie Edelstahl. Deswegen werden die Borsten bei vielen Grill Abenden nicht so lange halten wie eine Edelstahlbürste. Wer sehr häufig grillt und reinigt, ist wahrscheinlich langfristiger bei einer Edelstahlbürste besser aufgehoben. Wer aber Alufolie unterlegt und nur geringe Verunreinigungen hat, dem kann ich diese Grillbürste wärmstens empfehlen. Positives: - schöne Optik - extra langer stabiler Stiel - Lederschlaufe zum aufhängen - die Drahtbürste ist aus Messing um den Grill zu schonen

Hallo zusammen, für unser Grillrost mit emaillierter Beschichtung habe ich eine Bürste mit weichen Borsten gesucht, welche robust und qualitativ hochwertig ist. Die Bürste hat einen soliden Holzgriff mit entsprechender Länge. Die Borsten gehen bis über die Kanten, womit eine Reinigung der Rostzwischenräume erleichtert wird. Bisher keine Probleme gehabt - leicht zu reinigen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Die Bürste hat mich eigentlich von Anfang an überzeugt: - schöner, gedrechselter Holzgriff - Lederschlaufe zum Aufhängen - Extra langer Stiel, damit man auch den heißen Grill reinigen kann ohne sich die Hände zu verbrennen - Kupferdrahtbürste um den Grillrost zu schonen und eine eventuelle Beschichtung nicht zu beschädigen Allerdings ist der größte Vorteil - der Kupferdraht - auch gleichzeitig der große Nachteil. Kupfer ist ja bekanntlich weicher als Stahl was zur Folge hat, dass sich der Kupferdraht durch Nutzung und Druck sehr schnell verbiegt, sodass die Reinigungsleistung darunter leidet. Leider lässt sich der Bürstenkopf dann nicht einfach "weiterdrehen", sodass man wieder "frische" Drahtenden zur Verfügung hat, sondern ist starr befestigt. Man hat dann also weiter innen noch top Drahtenden, mit denen man nichts anfangen kann und vorne die verbogenen. Schade, da diese Bürste ansonsten die beste Bürste ist, die ich bisher hatte.

Hallo Grill und BBQ Freunde. Ich habe die Bürste im letzten Jahr erworben. Die logistische Leistung aus Amazonien war wie immer einwandfrei. Die flott gelieferte Bürste machte auf den ersten Blick einen hochwertigen Eindruck, liegt gut in der Hand und macht das, was sie soll. Das bedeutet konkret: Der aufgeheizte Gasgrill kann mit möglichst wenig Körpereinsatz möglichst schonend gereinigt werden. Benutzt wurde die "Profi Grillbürste" vier oder fünf mal. Holzgriff und praktischer Lederanhänger sind immer noch neu und genügen dem Werbeversprechen Profiqualität. Die Garfläche des Gasgrill wird auch nicht verkratzt. Die Reinigungswirkung ist anfänglich gut. (gefühlte 4 Sterne Bewertung) Status nach einem guten halben Jahr und vier Einsätzen (also im Amateur und nicht im Profieinsatz) Optischer Zustand: Griff wie oben beschrieben immer noch 1a Die Bürste selber ist im Drahtbereich ganz leicht verostet, was mir egal ist, weil das die Funktion nicht beinträchtigt. Funktionsbereich (Messingbürste): Die Bürste selber ist aber im Kontaktbereich fast vollständig verschlissen. Das die Innnenseite noch quasi neu ist tröstet wenig, weil der Bereich nicht genutzt werden kann. Schade, meine Begeisterung ist spontan gewichen. Ev. hatte ich ja ein Montagsmodell mit superweichem Bürstenmaterial. Ich lasse mich gerne überzeugen. UPDATE: Der Verkäufer hat sich mehrfach telefonisch bei mir gemeldet und sich vielmals entschuldigt. Er hat mir ein Ersatzprodukt zugesendet, dass DEUTLICH besser ist, als das ursprüngliche. Für den neuen Typ mit Wechselbürste gebe es locker 4 - 5 Sterne. Für den Verkäufer selber auch. Das alte Produkt bleibt aber bei 2 Sternen.

Die Bürste ist gut und durch den langen Griff auch sehr gut zu benutzen. Allerdings wünschte ich mir, dass die Borsten etwas länger wären.
