This little guy wins the "coolest toy" award. First of all, it works great. Secondly, it is about as cool as you can get for a nerd like me. The sound all depends on where you put it. Remember though that it is Bluetooth compressed sound so it will never be as good as a hi fi speaker. However, it can produce some lovely sound. I find that it works best on wood surfaces. Tables are ideal. Just make sure you don't have loose items on the surface or they will rattle. Also, I wouldn't recommend sharing any surfaces where a fish bowl is located, as it would surely send them into shock. As for the question of should you buy, I say yes, just as long as you don't depend on it as your main means of music entertainment. You may want something more predictably powerful with a bit better fidelity. This is a fantastic travel speaker in my opinion.

I use this with my iPod or my phone and have had fun with it. The reason I can only give it 3 stars is that most placements there is considerable distortion probably due to the relatively speaking massive base produced. The only place that I found that the sound quality is optimum is on a sheet of glass. a large window, shower door etc works wonderfully. I had pretty good luck with a tightly fitted closed wooden box. If there is a loose joint or item in the surface this is applied to the loose item or joint will rattle and distort. Though this is not the fault of the speaker it tends to govern where you can use it. a method of temporary mounting to a window would be a big help.

This is a marvelous little gadget. It mysteriously uses whatever surface it's on to produce sound. On my wooden coffee table or night stand, it produces great sound. It hooks up quickly with my iPad's bluetooth. The battery life is remarkable. I normally use it from 8:00 AM to 12:00 midnight without any sign of battery exhaustion. Actually, I have no real idea how long the battery will last, but with overnight charging, it keeps on going. I bought another one to keep in the car. Try it, you're gonna' like it.Here's an update on my review after seven+ months of use: Still marvelous! I still don't know how long the battery will last. I plug it in around midnight and use it the next day until I plug it in again. I've also dropped it/knocked it off high places and it keeps on keeping on. This product is ok, it dose have a lot of sound for a little speaker but the music can become easily distorted, and not sound good. It can only be placed on a hard surfus to work well. Limiting where you can use it. Overall I was displeased with it, and don't think that it is worthwhile to buy. If you are in the market for a good WiFi speaker don't buy this one.

These speakers produce beautiful sound for the price, which is why I gave them any stars.The major problem is they also cause absolutely anything else on the surface to vibrate.Has this problem been addressed? At what price?

A goofy gizmo. Bought it on a whim and took it to work. Plugged it into a Walkman and stuck it onto various things, much to the amusement of my co-workers. Especially when I stuck it on my head, and music played from my mouth. Worked best with things like boxes and buckets, though pretty much any surface did something. People kinda freak when doors, windows, or walls start playing music. Some car trunks sound better than others. This is basically a toy, not really for serious listening.

Actually, if you need bass-thumping sound to fill a large room for a party, then look for something bigger. But if you want a techno-geeky-cool item that will have everyone you show it to playing with it and asking where they can get one, then this is for you. True, if you listen to bass-heavy music and turn it as loud as it will go, the surface it is on will rattle or buzz (like the lousy factory speakers in an old car). You can fix this by experimenting with different surfaces (large wooden countertops without items on them work well, especially if NOT so solidly built) or by using an equalizer app on your device to lower the volume on the offending frequencies. Or just turn it down a little.If you hold this device in the air, it sounds like you are holding your earbuds near your ears--but when you place the rubber foot on a surface, the sound comes alive. The best thing about this is how portable it is. I use it to listen to music or podcasts in the bath (on the tub--volume about half on my phone and sounds great), in the kitchen (I place it in the cabinet above the stove and open the doors), when working at the kitchen table (on the table, or on the windowsill if the vibrating table bothers me), and I take it in my carry-on luggage to use in a hotel room when traveling. In my daughter's 3rd-grade classroom Christmas party with 25 energetic kids, it wasn't loud enough--but the teacher thought it was so cool, she tried it all over her classroom (the filing cabinets were best) and wanted one to demonstrate sound to her students!I have used it for hours and hours without recharging, all over Bluetooth, and the only time the battery died was the time I accidentally left it powered on in the drawer. If all this sounds good to you--it is! Get one! Or buy one as a gift for your hard-to-buy-for nephew. He'll love it too.

Es un buen altavoz y fácil de usar pero esperaba un sonido mayor y más claro. Además, si no está apoyado en una superficie suena muy flojo, es decir, no lo puedes llevar en la mano, tiene que estar apoyado en una mesa o algo.

Well looked after but now has severe distortion after little use. Now I have to place heavy weights on it to get it to sound ok.

Purchased Aug 2015 and used about 4-5 times per week approx. hour each time. By Dec Bluetooth function wasn't working. Ipod still detected other Bluetooth products sending out signal but the Damson wasn't. Impossible to contact Amazon - They don't want to be contacted. Says item no longer eligible for refund or replacement. It's only a few months old!!! £57! Also doesn't cope with music as loud as the speaker my daughter has which cost £30!!!

Solid work. Nice and stylish. Good sound when set on the glass cafe table however it's a bit to expensive for the work it does. Would recomended but not for this money.
