Magswitch Universal Track 18-Inch

Long fences make for stable cuts. This one with the holes for attaching a MagSwitch base gives my bandsaw a great deal more capability and accuracy.

I originally bought this item to use as a fence for my drill press, but turned out to be to tall for that purpose.So I ended up attaching it to one end of my portable work bench and I use it as a vise, in combination with my Kreg bench clamps. Since this fence has 1/4'' tracks on one side and 5/16'' tracks on the other (which are compatible with the Kreg clamps), the attachment was easily made using 1/4'' bolts to a right angle vertical extension (made out of wood) I placed at one end of my table. So I basically can slide it in or out by loosening the 1/4'' nuts on the back side of the extension.It's a strong piece of aluminum and seems durable. I don't know where it was made though, says nothing about that on the box or the fence.

Works great I attached it to a Kreg fence system on my hand say and fit perfectly.

The fence on my DeWalt table saw was out of wack and can't be adjusted.So rather than get a new DeWalt fence, I bolted this to the fence and shimmed it up.Works great, like that it extends out on the infeed and outfeed to help guide the wood.So many other things this could be used for

This product is heavier duty than I anticipated. Very happy with the purchase and love the options for different sized bolt heads which makes is extremely convenient for everything a strait edge plate can be used for. Highly recommend this item

Bought this along with the Maglock starter kit to use on my band saw. Two common criticisms in reviews are accurate.1. It does not sit at a square, right angle to the platform.2. Although the magnetic lock feels firm, apply sideways pressure with a longer board when ripping and it moves easily. Hence, useless for my purposes. I bought additional magnetic locking angle braces from Harbor freight to place behind the fence at each end. That works, but it is a real pain aligning four magnetic locking mechanisms to square.Sounded pretty sexy and flexible. I should have bought a standard, reliable fence system.

Am 7. März bestellt, am 13. März geliefert. Ware ist wie beschrieben. Es handelt sich um das Original. Hatte die Befürchtung, dass ich eventuell ein Plagiat bekomme. Dem war aber nicht so.Es ist das Original-Magswitch Aluprofil 18".

Excellent quality with support capabilities for featherboards, and other custom made safety especially in table saws or bandsaws, and table router setups. Superb paint job, seems to last for ever. I love it....You get what you pay.
