Must-have for home aquariums, saved lives!
This device saved 20 of my fish! It has an alarm you can set for a certain range and it'll sound if the temperature goes below that number. We had unplugged the heater itself from the Inkbird while cleaning the tank, forgot to plug it back in, and went to bed. It was winter and the temperature kept falling, and without any way for the device to turn the heater on like it normally would, it woke us up and we found our poor fish on the brink of freezing to death! They were moving very slowly and looked pale, so if it didn't wake us up, we probably wouldn't have gotten to them in time or maybe we wouldn't even have figured out what was wrong right away. I have an Inkbird on all 4 of my tank's heaters. I'm so grateful it saved my little friends. It works great, it's easy to read from a distance, easy to install, and it's a worthy investment

Effective, affordable, and does what it's supposed to.
I bought this for my 300 gallon aquarium and found the price and functionality to be great. Pros: Very simple, straight forward, and easy to use. Setup takes only a few min and doesn't require an app download to manage. Priced very well Can control both heating and cooling units Cons: If you have two heaters and you want one to come on at a different temperature, you can't. Although there are two plugs, they're set up specifically for heating on one and cooling on the other. I used a plug splitter to add more than one heater, but they both come on and turn off at the same setpoints. If you're the kind of person who needs information available even on the go, this does not offer that type of connectivity for wifi monitoring.

Great investment! Works as expected.
Love it. I have read several horror stories of people being at work, school, or vacation, and while away their heater malfunctioned, and kept getting hotter and hotter, and they came home to their fish basically being cooked.. So sad.. And preventable - with this device! If the tank gets above a certain temp [which you must program] the device will turn off your heater! Or if you have one it can even turn on a chiller! You can also program for an alarm noise to go off if it gets above/below a certain temp in your aquarium - such a cool gadget! Programing it was slightly difficult. BUT even if you unplug it, what you had programmed is still there, which i love, as i unplug during water changes. BUY THIS NOW AND PREVENT A DISASTER! While I was traveling abroad earlier this year it was such a relief knowing if the heater malfunctioned that my froggies would not be boiled to d34th. <3

#1 priority if you are a pet owner that relies on heat.
Works well so far. The temp prod works well. I mainly got this because heaters can't be trusted on their own. I don't want to risk boiling my fish. It was easy to install, I dont know what I am doing but reading the instructions made it easy to understand.

A reliable product for that safety of your tank inhabitants
I have had issues with heaters heating up tanks to crazy temperatures and killing off massive amounts of livestock, so I know the regret of not having used a controller sooner. I have this controller set to keep my reef at 78 degrees and I love the addition of a cooling fan to control. I also like the fact that there is an alarm system to alert you if the temperature gets out of control. Having another failsafe in place really eases my mind. I keep the probe in my sump and it has constant stable readings of the temperature in my aquarium. While this controller can be plug and play, I recommend reading the instructions and keeping them on hand to properly remember what all the functions of this controller are. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product and would recommend it because of it's solid construction, ease of use, and reliability.

A good buy… Except…(read review)
I love my inkbird. It does really good. The 4 stars are because: 1.- You can only change the temperature in 1 degree increments. 2.- The calibration is way off when you first get it, you have to have a reliable thermometer to calibrate it properly. 3.- It only updates the temperature every 15 minutes, I wish it more often. I had to purchase a different one from a different brand for my reef tank because of this issue. So not good for reef tanks. But great for freshwater! 4.- With all the problems listed above, it should be cheaper than it is. Although, it is good quality and I have it on all my tanks.(except my reef tank)

Reliable and Inexpensive
I have had no problems with this device. The temperature gauge is very close to my other 3 gauges I use to measure temperature in my Red Sea aquarium. It is set up to turn my fans on and off when hitting a high of 80 and a low of 77. Works like a charm.

Hasta ahora muy eficiente, una pequeña variación de 1 grado con otro termómetro ink pero su desempeño hasta ahora lo veo muy bien.
