I have purchased Rutin powder to help benefit my healing of vascular system. Vein health is so very important. This system keeps everything moving along. It helps heal varicose veins, hemorrhoids, keeps gout at bay. I love bulk supplements. You can only down so many pills till you want to gag. I love placing powders in juice or just plain water and down the hatch. Easy Peasy. This rutin powder is fresh. It is clearly stated the serving size and directions which is not the case for another company I've bought from. There is an expiration date as well. I also love when it says Other Ingredients : None. This mixes up nicely in some O J. Makes it kinda creamy and no grit. I am very happy with this stuff. Now I know it may take some time to see the results. Fingers crossed.Sunday May 15th : I'm taking with powdered whole food vita C. OMG I am already feeling results. My hind end was in bad shape with the dreaded "roids". I never thought I was gonna feel normal again. Coffee, Rum & Hot Peppers are my joy and also my curse. I had rum and coke three nights in a row. That would normally send me to bed from a pain in the a**. I am fine! Oh and I had jalapeño peppers on a burrito too. I was afraid to try out a cup of coffee but tomorrow morning I am going for it. Yay!! I feel like I have my life back. My sister had two different hemorrhoid procedures done years apart. Neither worked. I can't wait to tell her this is working !!!

Like some other reviewers I purchased this rutin for our Chylothorax cat Mitzi as per the recommendation of our vet. I'd purchased some capsules and some pills from a health food store but it's difficult to give a cat meds as it is very stressful for them. Also the other rutin supplements I had purchased were not pure there was always something else in them. She is also on a prescription low fat diet so we just mix this into her food and it is so much easier than trying to give her meds orally. We did treat her with octreotide for a little over 3 weeks that is a compounded prescription and has to be given by injection 3 times a day. As with others who have cats/dogs and are treating this disease it looks like we will have to give them this supplement for the rest of their lives. As far as I'm concerned this rutin by bulksupplements will be the only one I will be using because of the purity and how well it mixes in her food. My only difficulty is the package I have does not close as well as I would like but it was easy to transfer it to an airtight container.

After learning that rutin might be a good addition to my regimen of nutritional supplements, I researched various formats and brands and decided to try BulkSupplements' product. It arrived quickly and I started with the lowest suggested dose (1/8 tsp) twice daily. This was somewhat helpful -- enough for me to feel that rutin would work for me but likely at a higher dose. Increasing to 1/4 tsp twice daily produced better results so I'm very pleased, particularly since allopathic medicine offers little in the way of symptom relief for my particular health concern and nothing in the way of treatment for it.I haven't used rutin before so I can't compare this to rutin from other manufacturers. I can say that this rutin is a pale yellow-green powder with a mild "planty" flavor and aroma. I was able to tolerate it straight but prefer it added to liquid. (It mixes fairly easily in a small amount of water.)(NB -- rutin is often recommended to be taken in conjunction with a diosmin/hesperidin supplement. I'm familiar with diosmin/hesperidin, having used it -- without rutin -- in the past. I've added diosmin/hesperidin to the rutin but too recently to observe any differences in the way that the rutin has been working alone.)

Wanted to update my review: Been giving this to my cat for a couple months now for cyclothorax and it seems to be helping. Here's how I give it: Take a quarter teaspoon of rutin powder, put in a tiny bowl (one of those stainless salad dressing bowls borrowed from a restaurant), take an empty syringe and suck up some of the gravy from a can of cat food, squirt it in the bowl, mix around with the rutin well, then syringe up the mixture and give it to my cat. This is working really well.Tried mixing it into his food, this might work with most cats, but my cat can smell anything foreign in his good. Very grateful that this product is available in pure powder form.Quality of the rutin powder is good. I give this to my cat and also take it myself. Using the powder enables us to bypass clunky tablets and capsules with fillers.Only grievance is with the bag, it's open during shipping & powder fills the slit in the bag's seal, so you have to clean it out with a toothpick to get it to seal. Once I ordered a product and the bag's seal was open & the powder escaped the bag and went into the outer shipping bag, which was a pain. Wish they improved these containers.Actual product is good though.
