DOVOLeather Balm for Razor Strops

I sharpened straight razors as a hobby that pays money. After honing I use my strop almost daily. This conditioner keeps my strops and tip top condition. I've never experienced a crack in any of my leather stropes that I use this on. I have horse leather Buffalo leather kangaroo leather and also the more common cow leather. This stuff works great on everything that I have. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to extend the life of their leather items. I even use this on my work boots sometimes. Helps to waterproof and keep the leather conditions so well I cannot say enough about this product. When she was a little cheaper but most people would not use it as much as I do.

Works great on keeping strops very soft and flexible. Also helps the stropping compound to adhere to the stopping surface. I have found other uses for the leather balm like using very small amounts at regular intervals on my gun holsters-inside and out. I have also tried it on the areas on my work boots that just don't want to break in.I have to do a lot of kneeling at work and the leather tops of my boots will sometimes crack and this helped out with that. Basically you could probably use it on any type of leather other than strops, just experiment with small amounts. I definitely recommend this and will buy again.

Purchased this item to treat my very nice Mountain Mike razor strop and was not entirely impressed upon application. I was hoping I would get a nice smooth finish on the leather but discovered a somewhat waxy finish even after buffing the balm in. I think I need to use something other than this to get the smooth supple leather that I am looking for on my strop. Would not purchase again nor or recommend.

Used on an ancient Rolls razor strop , 1920s. Restored the leather to full function.

Excellent product to renew old leather, in particular my strop. Just needed a little bit. Next, it should work very well on my golf shoes as well.

Great stuff. Added benefit it slows the knife or straight razor down a bit.
