COVERGIRL+OLAY Simply Ageless Instant Wrinkle-Defying Foundation, 205 Ivory

***UPDATED***2 Weeks Later..*The first time I reviewed this foundation I had only used it once and thought it was good/okay. I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now and decided it deserves an update. Here's what I've learned.. First and foremost, in my initial review I failed to notice that this foundation has a BROAD SPECTRUM SPF, which is an important factor in any skin care of beauty routine. Second, I love how BRIGHTENING this foundation is! It isn't thick or cakey, but goes on oh so smooth, and because of how brightening it is, I really don't need to fuss with much highlighter. Third... And this is the biggest reason why I'm reviewing a second time.. I originally gave this foundation 3 stars but have bumped that up to 5. I feel kind of dumb because I work in the beauty industry she totally missed the point of this foundation the first time around. When I saw the advertising for "Ageless" and that it floats over lines and wrinkles I assumed it would conceal those imperfections and was annoyed that I could still see my fine lines after applying. TOTALLY NOT THE POINT! The idea is that it IS antiaging because the product isn't sitting in those lines (and pores!) making them deeper and larger, which in turn helps your skin stay younger looking. I really feel silly for not picking up on that right away. So... You've got SPF, Peptides, and it won't settle into your lines and pores. This foundation is a winner! Thank you Cover Girl!!*FIRST REVIEW/FIRST DAY*Today I used my new Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Wrinkle Defy Foundation. I was sent this product for free from Covergirl for testing and review purposes. First impression of this product is that it is good.. But I wasn't blown away. I love that it contains peptides, which as an esthetician are a key component in many of my favorite products. I am pretty picky about foundation, but am by no means a make-up pro. Here is a breakdown of my overall opinion on this product..1. Easy color matching. Because I was sent this product for review purposes, I had to choose/guess what shade would suit my skin tone, which is light to medium with very red undertones. I went with Creamy Natural and found that it is a perfect match for my skin. (For comparison, I use Medium Beige Bare Minerals).2. The foundation comes with an applicator sponge, which is what I used to apply. The foundation goes on silky smooth and is very easy to blend. Some foundations I have tried seem to coat every baby hair/peace fuzz/rogue blonde eyebrow on my face, but this one did not. I found the finish to be very natural looking, which is incredibly important to me!3. As far as the Anti-Aging component, this is why I only gave this product 3 stars. I actually felt that it highlighted my wrinkles, specifically my "crows feet" which I have NEVER been concerned with before. Usually it's fine lines on my forehead and glabella that bother me the most. If you look at my before and after photos, you can see (or at least I saw) that my crows feet stood out more in the "after" photo. I'll give it another try tomorrow and see if I get the same effect. Maybe it was poor lighting, but I did take the picture in my usual "selfie spot" :D. I won't give up on this foundation just yet because it actually did a really nice job blurring my acne scars, which is one of my biggest concerns when looking for a new foundation. It also scored big with me for how well it concealed my very red undertones. For the retail price, I think this is a good foundation. Certainly much better than others I have tried and if I can avoid the expensive department store brands I definitely will. Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Wrinkle Defy Foundation is worth trying for sure.

This is one of the best makeup products I've used! It has a beautiful finish, almost like a powder, and the color match was perfect—which was a relief since I wasn’t sure if the shades would align with the brand I previously used.The formula has a matte cream consistency but applies smoothly on the skin. Its size is comparable to other similar products. It does an excellent job hiding red blotches and imperfections, giving a flawless look. I usually pair it with mascara and go about my day!

I ordered this yesterday and received it today and I had to try it immediately. I have a ruddy complexion plus sensitive skin. on top of that, i had a face waxing and the wax was too hot and burned my skin. It was painful, red and peeling. I treated the burn but the mark will take awhile to go away. I tried this product after watching a video of a woman with blotchy skin use it. It worked on her so I bought it. And it was amazing. It is light, goes on smooth and easy, feels great and covers my red complexion and the burn. i showed my husband and he, who knows nothing about makeup, noticed that my skintone was even and smooth and not a mark on it. you had to look hard to see the burn marks. This product is cheaper than most other products that boast the same results, which is another plus for this makeup. I purchased the medium light color and it was a great match for my skin. I love the combination of the moisturizer, foundation, sun screen and face sponge. I can buy one product instead of four. it also did not irritate my sensitive skin.

I have used this foundation for many years. I have oily skin that has gotten more sensitive since I entered my 50s. This is a moisturizing foundation with build able coverage. I find that it doesn't make my oily skin greaser, especially used with setting powder and spray. It does sometimes settle into my pores and can separate a bit on the outer sides of my face. But overall, great choice for older skin, build able coverage, great foundation at a drugstore price. Definitely recommend. Oh, I have very, very fair skin and red hair, and their lightest shade is too light for me (I use Classic Ivory). So if you are quite pale, this is a good choice for you.

I buy this foundation for my mother-in-law, and she absolutely loves it! It’s lightweight, blends great, and smooths out imperfections without feeling heavy on the skin.She likes how natural it looks while providing great coverage. If you’re looking for a thoughtful gift or a reliable foundation for mature skin, this is an excellent choice!

Love this, I haven't been happy with anything I have used in the past, I anxiously awaited the arrival and immediately tried this and it's great! This doesn't settle in fine lines, lightweight and very natural looking and feeling. I will be a repeat customer for this!

Great foundation, good coverage and dried nicely. DO NOT GET IT IF YOU’RE PALE AF LIKE ME, if you’ve struggled with getting a light enough shade stay away from this bc as a cream formula you can’t easily blend with something lighter. I’m a 10FairCool in Elf Soft Glam Satin foundation, Mont Blanc in NARS. For a full coverage foundation they need to expand their shade range.

Nice product... good color and texture. Really worked well on my aging skin.
