Very well done.
Pretty much tells you everything that you need to know. Not much more to say then that. Very good book on starting and running a business and helps you on aspects of a school that you may have not thought of as well.

Extremely useful I am reading it for the second time and I have it in paper form and on my Kindle so that it is always with me to use as a reference.

Very thought provoking
Although the book is written for martial arts businesses in the USA, with many environmental and legal differences from the UK, much of the information in this book is both interesting and helpful. The book contains plenty of advice for setting up a business that could be applicable to anyone looking to set up and run a new business, not just martial artists. It highlights business concepts that may be of particular importance to martial arts school. This is not only a useful resource for martial arts instructors who are considering setting up a professional school, but also to instructors who run their club on a not-for-profit basis, to ensure that the club is set up well with sufficient care and planning to ensure that it remains open, stable and financially viable into the future.

Helpful up to a point!
I am a 4th Dan Martial Artist in Shotokan Karate who runs a Dojo in the UK.Some very useful information surrounded by bucket loads of stating the obvious...(but to some, the information may not be that obvious) i.e. common sense. Some assumptions are implied by the book that may not be appropriate to all situations. The biggest issue is that the advice is from a US perspective which is no bad thing in itself...but if you require advice on the mechanics of setting up a Martial Arts Club in the UK you may end up none the wiser.Otherwise I consider this book to be handy "go to" guide for general advice and information.

A really useful guide that covers everything in a clear, easily accessible way. I would recommend this book for anybody who teaches martial arts, suitable for someone setting up a school or even with an established one there is something for everyone to pick up and improve their business.
