How many peppers are in the bag?

Without removing them from the bag for an accurate count, I am guessing my bag contained 12-15 peppers.

I received these and they are covered in a white "something." Is this mold?

I do not know for sure, but that seems like a very good guess. I would definitely try to send the back. The ones received were not covered with anything.

What are dried fresno peppers called?

Fresnos are like jalapeños but from New Mexico. Anchos are dried poblanos.

I don't know about heat units, but mild chili pepper. It gives a smoky taste versus hot flavor. So 2 or 3 in a sauce wouldn't be to much heat.
