Great product for those who want to give it a try
This kit is an excellent way for anyone wanting to try their hand at developing good old black and white film and see if they like it. This is, by the way, the stated purpose. So yes, it's pricey, but if you get the bug you will order more volume and save. Plus, getting film commercially developed isn't exactly cheap these days. I used it to develop a couple of test rolls to make sure an old film camera still works. Already had a Patterson tank and beakers from the old days. I was pleased with the product. Very easy to use. Other reviews mention the lack of directions, which is true. But all you have to do is Google "instructions for Ilford Simplicity Starter Pack" and you will find very good guidance on Ilford's website, including developing times for a variety of films. All in all, well done, Ilford.

No directions for developing film
Great products for a beginner. The only down side is that there is no directions on how long to develop film time and if it's reusable after more than two rolls. There are some directions you can download from Ilford website but it's only for the film developer and not the other products.

Perfect solution for beginners and Pro's alike.
Easy Peasy for the beginner and Pro. It has been over 40 years since I developed any kind of film, and processing my Ilford HP5 medium format film was a breeze. Downloading the instructions from Ilford was a breeze and very easy to understand and follow. I highly recommend this product. My negatives turned out great.
