Piano Adventures: Performance Book - Level 2B, 2nd Edition | Educational Sheet Music for Piano Students | Songbook for SMP Level 2 | Faber Piano Book with Late Elementary Piano Solos Review: Good supplement to publisher's lesson book - This is a supplementary book to the corresponding-level lesson book, giving the student extra pieces to strengthen concepts at the same level. FJH provides a lot of supplementary collections at indicated levels that are specific to genres, like Christmas or Children's Songs, but the "performance" book more closely correlates with lesson book concepts if you want to use it that way. I let it trail along slightly behind the lesson book rather than attempting to keep it right on track, and I don't use it as a performance tool particularly. [For further information: I do not use their theory or technique books at level--there are only so many minutes in a lesson--and prefer to use stand alone progressive technique books by other publishers and only teach theory incidentally as needed. Inside the lesson book instead of in a separate volume is a better location for theory and FJH does include some.] Review: Moves fast. Best to do 2/3rds of the lesson and Tech & Artistry books first. Very musical! - Very nicely written or adapted to the level in a variety of styles. Very musical. Moves faster to harder music than the lesson and technique and artistry books of the same level do, so I usually have my students accomplish about 2/3rd’s to 3/4’s of those books before starting the levels matching performance books. The performance books pieces are especially musical and have a tendency to be recognizable music from various sources. We do sometimes choose recital pieces from the first part of the performance books before starting the entire books formally. All the pieces in the Faber books are well ordered according to difficulty and well paced.

Good for practice sessions
My son uses it for his piano lessons and for practice, recommended by his teacher. It's an effective practice tool so it was worth the purchase.

Good books for kids or beginners
I’ve been getting these type of piano books in the last couple of years when my kid started learning piano. Once he was done with one, I get the next level lesson and performance book. They are easy to understand and many familiar musics!

My Favorite Method Books
I love teaching out of these method books. They are easy to follow for both teacher and student and have many additional books to choose from in the same set. It's easy for students to go at different paces when learning out of these books based on the individual student. I will always use Faber & Faber Piano Adventures.

Leuk boek maar niet bij Amazon bestellen omdat Amazon muziekboeken in een te dunne envelop verstuurt zodat ze ALLEMAAL ELKE KEER BESCHADIGD AANKOMEN!!!!!

Child continuing these series of books. This level it is getting challenging for sure but if you have the right teacher , they will do well . I much prefer these books at younger ages than the traditional stream of royal concervatory books. Teaches great fundamentals and techniques that break it down for kids. My kids are doing 3B in the other books but have started to slow down and use 2B for performance books. No doubt they're getting tough.

Loving the series, the pieces evolve over the course of the book and they’re all different in terms of rhythm or hand positions. Some pieces are easier than the others. Love it!
