I would fall somewhere in-between a home owner and a professional user. I go through about 2/3rds of a roll of this every year on my 6 acre mountain property. I've used just about all the trimmer stings made and I've found that Maxi Edge last the longest and works the best. The true test for any string is what happens when it finds rocks and metal in it's path, those are the destroyers of trimmer line. The Maxi Edge powers through everything in it's way. The star pattern edge to the string acts like little knives to cut with, so it's much better than a traditional round string style. If you are looking for the most cutting for your money, Maxi Edge is the clear winner.

We have come to rely on this line, handles grass trimming with ease, not the best in heavy woody stuff. just not heavy enough for that... but it does quite well in tall grass.

I use this for cutting round the headstones in a churchyard, it really does last longer than the established brands.
