MP00205B 12V 1000mA [Optimizer X]

I was a little sceptical about this charger because of the low price but it has been excellent, keeping my motorbike charged over the winter here in Scotland where the temperature can really kill the batteries. It stops charging when the battery is fully charged so it won’t damage your battery

For the price, this is an absolutely superb bit of kit, no reason not to have one on any vehicle sat unused over the cold winter months. Saves buying a brand new battery when they deplete over time, just connect it with the parts supplied in the box to your battery and leave it, giving you piece of mind that when you're ready to go, your battery will be too. The cables are a reasonable length, the charger although very light in terms of weight and display information functions as it should and is plug and play.

I had to return a similar unit from a different supplier as it de-charged my car battery! This one is simplicity in itself, just connect it up, plug it in and the LED's inform you of progress. My daughters battery was a little low on charge and after 5 hours this has run through it's processes and fully charged it. I've had it connected to my VFR1200X, (strangely the polarity was wrong when plugging it into the previously installed SAE lead so I had to swap over pos/neg lead on the battery but no problem), where again it has worked like a charm delivering just a trickle charge to top it up. It's a tiny little charger but appears well made, is simple to use and comes with all the fittings you'll need for connecting to car or bike. For me the best feature is you can see at a glance the state of charge as the LED's are easy to see/read. This is an excellent little charger if a slow 1000ma charge suits your needs.

Seems to do the job. Have to be careful with the main wires as theyre a bit thin but overall its good.

The units fit perfectly into the existing wires that are on the vehicles, I even bought one for my old Mini, so when she's not in use, I can keep the battery in peak condition. The cable length could be s little more generous. I have electrical extensions, so it wasn't that important for me, but it would have been better with at least another metre. Light indicators show charging progress, e.g. charging to charged, which is useful. Overall, I would recommend this product.

This is a slow gentle charge maintainer to help maintain a battery & prevent unnecessarily heating & boiling battery levels from fast charging. Having originally twice purchased the AA maintainer which both failed after a couple of uses (as per other reviewers), the Motopower 1000ma MP00205B has proven to be a great reliable purchase for keeping both of my rarely used cars batteries topped up. This model displays every stage of the charge & switches to float maintenance mode where it can be left connected for extended periods or unplugged should you choose to.

I bought this to help keep the batteries on my 2 1100cc motorbikes in tiptop condition, the size surprised me when it arrived as it's so small, but the performance is second to none, i have recommended this to many of my bike friends. Thank you!
