I restored an old basketball hoop and this covered the top of the pole opening nicely. I had to snip part of the plastic insert to go around the bolt at the top, but that was easy. I also added silicone to it to give it a secure, waterproof fit.

I used one of these to seal off a hole in my T-111 garage siding that previously had a conduit going thru it. Put a bead of sealer around it and painted to match

They fit great in a 3 1/4" play ground tube pipe, really tight to stop wind and debri out of the tubes.
