Finally, Jerky That's Not All "Meat Snack-y"
I don't want to eat beef or any industrial scale produced meat anymore because of how the industry treats both animals and workers, but wanted to get at least some animal protein so I thought I'd give this a try. I grew up on jerky from this tackle store at lake hemet that was tough and salty, but over the years mainstream jerky just seems to have gotten thicker and softer (egh..) and thus, i haven't had a lot of jerky over the past couple decades. This wasn't exactly like that, more in between/leaning toward my preference, so don't worry- if you like some moistness it's there but you'll be working your jaw too.I got the sampler pack and they were all really good. Surprisingly, the boar was my favorite followed by elk, then buffalo, then venison. I told myself since i only had small amounts I'd go slowly but that turned out to not be possible and i scarfed it all in 1 day. Would love to have some more but will have to wait. Not a criticism since the quality was great, but i can't spend $20 on jerky every few days. Also, this purchase supports an american small business so that is a plus as well and hopefully they source as much non-exotic meat from american or local sources as well. red state/blue state- don't care, that's just a political distraction, we should look out for each others jobs because take a look at how the global economy is set up and what that means for all of us. The website is also great, loaded with all types and flavors. Suggest going direct to their site (jerky.com) as opposed to purchasing through amazon so they can get max revenue.Worth the money, tastes great and will buy again as budget permits. Thanks Jerky.com!

Give it a shot
This review will be broken down in three parts. First will be quality/flavor of meat. Second will be customer service. Third will be portion sizes.1. The flavor and quality of this jerky is A+ its nice and peppery and just tasty! It isn't over seasoned so you can still taste the flavor of the meat. The Buffalo and Elk were my favorite they are just so full of flavor I couldn't decide which I liked more. I will say that the Elk is more tender than the Buffalo. The Wild Boar tasted just like regular beef but that is to be expected with this kind of meat. Wild Boar is a lot leaner than regular Pork for those who have never had it. The Venison is really chewy and pretty tough which I really liked since it helps it last longer. Flavor is on point with all 4 of the meats.2. Customer service was really good they make sure and contact you to make sure you were satisfied.3. Portions sizes leave much to be desired. They are not big at all but not so tiny that you sill feel ripped off. Just be advised you will fet a piece that is about 1/4" thick and the size of a small to medium adult hand. I understand these meats are pricey so that is why its a little expensive but if you have some cash to spend and enjoy trying good jerky then these should satisfy.

Small, expensive, delicious & inconsistent
A lot smaller than I had expected. Each bag is only 1 oz so we're talking about $90/lb. I don't mind paying for quality, but if you're going to charge a premium you need to make sure the quality and experience is consistent - you get a much shorter leash for the extra $$.The elk and the buffalo were great - tender, flavorful, and delicious. If they had all been that good, it would have been a fine purchase. However, 1/3 of the wild boar piece was pretty tough and 2/3 of the venison sample was completely inedible. When you're paying $6 for a little 1 oz serving and you throw 2/3 of it in the trash it's a kick in the teeth. Speaking of teeth, mine still hurt from attempting to chew through the venison piece. (Yes, it was bad enough I chewed on it for a few minutes and didn't even manage to break through)My advice to seller: If you're going to charge what you're charging, the quality needs to be consistent. You can get beef/pork/turkey samplers 70% cheaper and once the novelty of eating 'exotic' meat wears off people are only going to re-order if the whole experience felt worth it. The pieces that were tender were delicious, but you can't be selling people inedible hunks of meat for $90/lb!

Skimpy and peppery, 🤢🤮😡 literally threw it away.
First, it turned out to be 1 each if 4 flavors, so 4 single 1 ounce packs, worth about 2 dollars each at a gas station, and honestly the stuff I get at my k local chevron tastes better. This jerky is so hot, you literally can not taste the meat at all, the amount if pepper and heat created hits your taste buds so bad it makes your mouth numb. I do not recommend at all, 5x .ore expensive than it should be and 5x worse than anyone else's meat treats.

The description was a little midleading
While I can't account for the taste as yet (since I ordered this for my Girl Scout troop to earn a badge for trying new foods) I'm a bit disappointed at what arrived. The description of the product says 4 ounces. I thought they meant 4, 4 ounce bags of the individual flavors. Nope! It's 4, 1 ounce bags! I guess we'll have to cut each of them into bite size pieces to have enough to go around as the meeting is tomorrow, and I don't have enough time now to order anything else. It smells wonderful, and I'm sure the taste will be excellent. I just really wish they had specified that I would be paying $25 for 4 ounces total of jerky.
