Actik Core Headlamp

I rarely rate anything 5 stars but this seems like a very good piece of gear. I suspect it will hold up over time but only time will have that answer. The price was great.Replacing a very old Black Diamond with this headlamp was a big upgrade. The control is easy to use and the light output is surprisingly strong. The tilt is easy to work and stays where you put it.I recently used it to repair some wiring under a trailer and literally forgot that I was wearing it at times. I was rolling around on a creeper with this on and it was great; much better than a flashlight for the work at hand.Low on this headlamp is almost as strong as high was on the B-D. "Medium" is more than adequate for working in dark areas and for walking at night.For walking, if it's a very dark night and other external light is are minimal, low is probably enough and red is an option if you really want to preserve your night vision.High is very powerful; very.The single head strap was different for me since the B-D also had a strap across the crown of the head but the single is comfortable and works well; it's easy to adjust too.I've yet to seriously challenge the battery life but so far the rechargeable seems quite good. You could always pocket three AAA's for backup.People who use headlamps a lot may have better choices or different opinions but, for the money, this seems like an excellent option for the casual user.

I started to deliver food and it can be very dark in some places. I tried using a flashlight but carrying food and the light at the same time came get complicated. So I decided to try a headlight. My parents had an old one with a light bulb in it. No brightness adjustment and it was just not bright enough. This light came recommended; I think from Wirecutter but I really can’t remember. So far, best decision ever. I can adjust the brightness as it gets darker from early evening to late night. The brightest setting, I can use to see the building numbers/letters on apartment blocks from far away without being super bright if I accidentally hit someone’s window. The red setting allows me to see so I don’t trip when a customers wants to meet outside. The red doesn’t blind them. The light itself can be aimed ahead or angled down so it shines just in front of my feet.I can see this being very useful in the situations it was made for too. Hiking, in caves, etc.. I used it in a garage working on my car. The light there wasn’t bright and the hood of the car blocked it out even more. I changed the brake pads on all 4 wheels and replaced car head and fog lights. Took about 4 hours total and light lasted on the brightest setting.Highly recommend. Not the cheapest light but well worth it and the rechargeable battery it comes with is great.

Researched lights for over a week in advance of my trip to Utah and after just returning from my adventure I have to say I’m beyond impressed. This light has saved me and my friends on multiple occasions where we were caught in the dark or spooked by wildlife during nighttime bike rides/photography. Can not recommend enough. Lowest setting is plenty bright when your eyes have adjusted to night vision. Medium is great for active hikes through treacherous terrain. High mode is perfect for when your scared of the boogeyman or want to show off to your friends the power of the light. Red mode is perfect for long exposure night time shots.Had no issues with the battery length, recharging was a breeze, was comfortable on my head for long hours.10/10. Don’t bother looking any further or reading into every little detail you see in 20 minute long YouTube videos. You’ll be more than happy with this purchase.

Thoughtful design, VERY easy to use, gasketed moisture resistant, microcontroller, status indicator, battery status reminder. VERY bright, comes with battery and USB cord.

I own 3 other headlight and this is today my favorite one. It is almost perfect and If I could, I would give it 4 1/2 star but Amazon does not offer that option. It is light, comfortable, simple to use and not to mention very bright in maximum brightness. The battery life is decent.My use for headlights are for three things, hiking, hunting and camping. I tent to use the average brightness in most scenarios in most of my headlights. This light is bright enough in average brightness in the dark evenings/night in the highland of Iceland hiking back to camp after a good hunt for Pink foot geese. The last trip I went with this light we hiked back to camp for over 5 hours and the battery did not show any sign that it would be signing off. I also purchased PETZL, NOCTILIGHT, Protective Lantern and Carrying Case for PETZL Headlamps which I use inside my tent or to protect my headlight. This combo is good for people which hikes or hunts and spends days away from civilization.The only complain I have about this light is that I miss the feature to have the possibility of both blue and green light, but I could have bought other product from PETZL with such features so maybe I should not be complaining :)

The 400 lumens is plenty bright for wide illumination and the red light mode is super helpful for preserving night vision. They are super well made and hold up under demanding situations. The only small request is to be able to adjust the red light mode in gradients as you can with the white light, but this isn't really a deal killer. The brightness and great battery life means it is larger and heavier than other models, so the "for working out" rating wouldn't be the best match; they make smaller models for that. Great all around choice for working in tight spaces, as well as hiking/camping. The great reputation is this light is well earned.

I bought this for my son, who is losing his sight. What a difference it has made for him! Once the evening shadows start to fall, he puts this on, even in the house. If he is going out with his dog at night, he can put on the floodlight, and see the whole yard. He has the confidence to got out on the trails at dusk or in the early morning, knowing that he doesn't have so much worry about tripping over roots and dips in the trail. With the battery life, he can be gone a couple of hours, running in the early morning and late evening. He have only been using for a week or so, but we are very satisfied so far. I am grateful that he can have this added freedom. One more thing, we like is the adjustable to his extra large hat size, and even can be worn over his ski cap in the winter.

I ordered this for my ROTC daughter who needs it for training weekends. It is just what she needed, with the alternative red light, along with a very bright white light.

I initially had the Petzl MYO RXP for over 8 years but due to a battery leak had to let it go. Doing my fair bit of research I narrowed on the ACTIK CORE 450 lumen. It comes with a rechargeable battery and that is a great initiative from Petzl. Petzl brightness never disappoints and the red light function is wonderful. I am yet to test its waterproof ratings but would not be disappointed. Worth the purchase.

I do like an off-road night-time run and have a couple of headlights. However they are big powerful lights with a powepack on the rear of the headband and an over the top strap. Comfortable and stable but for some occasions just too bulky, hence the Petzl. Single strap and battery built into the head is lighter, just as stable and at 400lumen plenty bright for the trail running I mostly do. In fact the medium setting is the most useful with a nice mid distance spread of light that also gives great battery run times. The lowest setting is really too low to run with ut ideal for close up use eg reading or in small spaces. The recharging is easy enough and I like the option to use disposable batteries. Many years ago I started with Energiser head lamps and would rate the highly but the quality of the Petzl light is much better, fewer artefacts or dim spots and given its relatively small form factor I pick this light unless going onto open terrain in the dark when the higher power and battery life of my bigger headlamps is safer. Trail running though and the Petzl is king. I did add a small red dot light (dead cheap from Decathlon) to the back of the strap for safety. Excellent light.

La qualità costruttiva si percepisce anche se "leggera" come plastica. Ottima luminosita, al minimo ti consente di lavorare senza alcun problema. Batteria ricaricabile. Nasce per un uso sportivo ma io la consiglio anche per lavoro e per emergenza
