CasioMen's AW49H-1BV Ana-Digi Dual Time Watch

This watch was/is for my autistic son, so he can be like the other kids in middle school. He was ecstatic when I told him that I ordered it, even more so when it came. He enjoys the fact that it is both analog & digital so that he can learn how to read analog. To see if he could do it, I told him to read the directions on how to set the time & date. 10-15 minutes later, he showed me how easy it was to get all of the settings properly set. He was so proud of himself, and so was I. The watch looks good with all his attire, and best of all... simple to setup/use. Well worth the price for my son's very first watch.

Updated 1/15/2012: The analog portion of the watch broke after 1 week of extremely light use. The analog hands no longer move or hold time.Orignal review 1/8/2012: It's stylish and a perfect size for medium sized wrists. The analog portion of the watch is easy to read, even in low light. It does not have a second hand, which means there is no annoying ticking.As one other reviewer noted, the digital portion of the watch is very hard to read in low light. The readout is very small. The alarm on/off indicator is very very small. However, in good light, the digital readout for the time is easy to read.Setting the watch is very easy. Basically, one button to scroll through the digitial functions, and the other button changes the setting (eg, hours, minutes, day, etc). The analog time has only one button to set the time, so that's also very easy.The watch has (a) analog (regular hands showing hours and minutes), and (b) digital readout showing one of the following (you must scroll through to see each): (i) time including seconds, (ii) date, year, and day of week, (iii) daily alarm time, and (iv) stop watch (sorry, don't know if it's split time).This watch would be perfect if it had a light and also if the digital readout was slightly larger.Still, easily this is five stars, especially for the price.

I bought the watch for knocking around on the weekends. The watch has accurate time and the set up time for both the analog and digit time clocks was not hard to do. I found the watch band which is plastic to be comfortable and goes on and off as easy as a better leather band.

This is a neat, lightweight watch with multiple functions. Most dual time-zone watches are bulky and somewhat clumsy. This one is very neat. The second time zone can be seen in the window along the bottom of the watch. At the push of a button, that window can be switched to show the alarm setting, a stopwatch, or a "time elapsed" function for longer periods than the stopwatch covers. All this in a very unfussy, compact case. Good value, good-looking watch without an animal skin strap!

This is a simple, classy watch that compliments any outfit. It's not only fashionable, but practical too- Water resistant to 50 meters, alarm clock, optional notification on the hour, stopwatch, digital/analog clock (duh), and alternate time display for keeping track of another time zone. The face will likely scratch if it contacts a hard or abrasive surface. It would be nice if it had backlight, but I bought this watch knowing that it has no backlight, so I can't complain.

Simple and not very pretty. Works great, but it looks very plastic and cheap, would not use in a more formal occasion. And no backlighting.

The pin holding the strap broke within 5 weeks of light use.This also meant that I lost the watch because without one side pin the entire watch fell away from my wrist.Will NOT recommend these low end Casio watches.

My goal was to find a dual time zone watch for travelling that wasn't too expensive in case I left it at some airport security checkpoint. unfortunately, this Casio was not a good choice. The first one I received didn't work at all so I sent it back. The second one I received worked acceptably for about 2 weeks but is now intermittent. Since it costs me shipping each time I return this product, I'm hoping the second watch will straighten out and run consistently. In the future I will look to spend more money to achieve "best value" rather than aiming for the cheapest watch.

Shipped and arrived much earlier than I expected. The box was a little beaten up, but the watch inside was just fine. The watch itself was great and exactly what I expected... keep time very accurately. Just one of those watches that you can wear everyday and not worry about. Would buy again!

Good value watch unfortunatly the digital display has no light which I wrongly assumed it would have otherwise good

Cette montre est basique mais fonctionne très bien. Pas d'éclairage, c'est dommage.il y a le chrono, l'alarme, pour le prix, c'est correct, mais reste à voir avec le temps.

時間、日付、アラーム、ストップウォッチの機能が付いています。ただ逆輸入品なので説明書が英語で書かれています。日本語取扱説明書URLというものが書かれていたのでアクセスしてみましたが、表示されませんでした。しかし英検４級程度の私でも、なんとなく説明書を理解できたので大丈夫だと思います。説明書が英語で分かりにくいということで星４つにしましたが、買って良かったと思える商品でした。
