ZojirushiSM-TAE48AZ Stainless Vacuum Mug, 16 oz, Ichimatsu Blue

The styling is impeccable -- you would expect nothing less from Zohirushi. I bought two of these, one in red, one in blue, both with the classic ichimatsu etching on the bottle. Design wise, they are my favorite objects bought in 2023. Function wise, there's nothing to compare. They keep water cold for days (ice inside goes unmelted for more than 24 hours). They keep coffee piping hot for hours. I pour my Starbucks grande mocha in one right after the barista hands it to me, and when I finally drink it, often hours later, it is as hot as when I rolled out of Starbucks. Pricy? As with everything in life, you get what you pay for.

Let me state this to begin with: The release/drinking design of these mugs is sheer genius. It's a pleasure to use every time, and cleaning it is a snap.Having said that, I ordered mine because I really liked the pattern online. I work at an office, and I'm not too hard with my carrying items, nor have I gone backpacking lately. I've hand-washed this guy in soap and hot water, but it's still started peeling and flaking. I know a one-star review seems pretty extreme, but I am disappointed in this company because it was the #1 recommended in The WireCutter and other review sites for a thermos. Had I known that the pattern wouldn't apply, I probably wouldn't have bought it.TL;DR it works great but it's not pretty at all any more and I expect more flaking in the future.

Outside coating is in horrible quality. It never happens to my other Zojirushi bottle before.

I’ve only had my cup for 2 months and the latch to lock the lid is broken. I’ve never even dropped the cup and it’s already broken. For the price I thought the quality would be better.

Fue un regalo que hice y quien lo recibió quedó muy sorprendido por el tiempo que tarda en conservar calientes las bebidas, después de 12 horas aún están calientes, lo recomiendo mucho.

It is the best thermos I have owned. Slim easy to pack and wow does it keep beverages hot for a very long time.

The media could not be loaded. Perfect design and looks of it. Knowing it will last but only the lid is a disaster. As per my video it’s not opening smoothly. For such as expensive product I expect it open smooth and normal.

I purchased this Thermos in January, it only lasted about 2 months. In March the release latch broke. I've been trying to contact Zojirushi Corporation, but because of COVID19 their support have shut down. I don't know what to do with this Thermos because I can't close the lid.
