Best umbrella I've ever used - and I've owned many over my 72 years. It's solid but not overly heavy. It's safe and secure to use in the wind and in a crowd. Just get this one.

I've had all kinds of experiences with umbrellas, and this one wins. I'd recently purchased (and promptly returned) a WindPro umbrella that turned into a portable birdbath after five steps in mild winds. When I received this umbrella I knew from the moment I picked it up that it was solid and strong. It took a little more effort to open than other umbrellas do, but the force required to lock it out keeps it from inverting in strong winds. I can't say I've had it in hurricane winds yet, but the storms it's weathered thus far leave me confident that it'll stand up to a gale. The blunt tips are also quite nice, since I tend to walk with the family and don't want to put any eyes out. This is a great umbrella, bot functionally and stylistically!

On Day 2 of use, the handle fell off upon opening. It FELL off. This was not an occasion where I could tell that I was exerting too much force. I was exerting the minimal force necessary to OPEN the umbrella (i.e. use it). And it FELL off. This was not an occasion where a large gust of wind caught the umbrella and the sudden exertion of meteorological conditions brought the umbrella to its breaking point. No. This was opening the umbrella. And it FELL off. If I could simply snap the handle back on, I would still return the umbrella but I would likely chalk it up to being a defective unit. However, the handle could not even be snapped back into place. Instead, the handle's absence revealed the shoddy construction that I suspect is consistent among all units. This umbrella is truly overpriced garbage. It most certainly is not "Strong & ... Built to Last" as represented. The merchant's representation that it is "Light," however, is accurate. Probably because it is made of garbage. Make sure to save the box to make the return easier.

Not the most attractive design - chunky and plasticky - but so far has proven rugged and effective.

The best umbrella i have found. Very well constructed and sturdy. Good value for money. Closes and opens early. Size is perfect and not too heavy.

Nicht ganz billig aber perfekt verarbeitet, sieht edel aus und ist ein Hingucker. Sehr stabil gebaut. Leider etwas schwer. Sehr geeignet für stürmisches Regenwetter.

Attention ce parapluie est plutôt grand. Il semble cependant solide, bien fini et résistant au vent. Le manche est droit et rien n'est prévu pour le tenir une fois fermé.

Erstaunlich, dass man so etwas einfaches wie einen Schirm tatsächlich noch verbessern kann!!! Der blunt umbrella besticht nicht nur durch sein formschönes Äußere, sondern überzeugt auf voller Breite. Genervt von Knirps-Schirmen, die sich bei etwas mehr Wind umstülpen oder die "Flügel" hängen lassen, habe ich mich für den nur geringfügig teureren blunt entschieden und spiele bereits mit dem Gedanken, mir auch den Mini zu zulegen. Der Schirm liegt sehr schön in der Hand und bleibt auch bei Orkanstärke und Starkregen stabil und ruhig. Kein lästiges Tropfen von überstehenden Streben-Enden mehr. Das Material ist ruck zuck auch wieder trocken, einmal kräftig ausschütteln reicht und man kann ihn getrost in die Ecke stellen ohne dass sich Wasserpfützen bilden. Sicherlich ist er etwas schwerer als kleine Billigschirme, lässt sich aber auch bei längeren Wanderungen ohne Ermüdungserscheinungen halten. Das Öffnen muss manuell geschehen und ist etwas stramm, dafür aber eben super-stabil. Der Schirm kommt in einer professionellen, gut schützenden Kartonage-Verpackung So macht auch das größte Schmuddelwetter direkt Spaß! Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

This is the Kiwi's at their best, there is a problem of wind and rain in Wellington so lets redesign a traditional format that can cope. This Blunt umbrella is as good as it gets, I'll be using it tonight it is windy and raining, hopefully no Mary Poppins moments for me:-)
