Fab soil knife
This little gadget does a lot of things. You’ll wonder how you ever managed without it. The blade is sharp for cutting stems, it is strong for digging and jabbing weeds out, good for planting bulbs at the correct depth and there is a handy string cutter.

My number one tool in the garden!
I previously bought the orange-handled soil knife and once my husband tried it out, it became his go-to tool for gardening! I bought the pink-handled knife because I know he will be less likely to “borrow” it. As far as the tool goes, it’s sharp, sturdy, efficient, weighted well, and easy to handle. I use this to divide plants, weed, transplant, and cut. Watch out, because the saw-tooth edge is sharp and I’ve nicked some skin on my hand when I’ve been a little careless. If you’re comparing, this one is very solid and sharp. I actually prefer the orange handle over the pink because it’s easier to locate when I lay it down on the ground, but the quality is exactly the same for both. The pink color is the same as pictured online.

Best garden tool invented
This is my second soil knife. Not a replacement for the first, since it is still going strong. This second knife with a pink handle is so mom has one to use while the children are using the other one. Warning though, this knife is super sharp even after 5 garden seasons of use. Use your judgement whether or not your child is old enough to use this safely. I also highly recommend using it with gloves. This tool is good for making seed holes, trenches, cutting up chunks of sod, slicing open bags of soil amendments or sand, cutting twine, and so much more. My only wish was that I had bought the knife case to keep it at my side.I cannot recommend this tool enough for its durability, versatility, and convenience.

What a find
Wonderful garden tool. I have no idea how I made it - without it for so long.I purchased the pink easy-to-find handle knife.Works great for digging overgrown perennials, digging out deep bulbs and weeds. It has become my main garden tool. I now have purchased 2 knives for fear of losing oneThe soil knife is sturdy and durable plus it's NOT made in China, mine is made in Italy. The knife was exactly as described, arrived on time, and was a smooth transition.I recommend it.

Luxurious compared to box store fiskars
I bought this because I’ve had 2 Fiskars weed pullers snap in half recently, and I wanted something durable. So far so good. The design is simple, and seems bulletproof. The metal blade is SO much thicker and robust than cheap Fiskars crap, and the serrated edge is incredibly sharp, like a steak knife. I’ve been using it for weeks for weeding and it shows zero sign of wear.

good solid product
I didn't give it 5 stars because I figure that sooner or later I will cut a finger with it, hopefully not too severely. It replaced one of a different brand (Fiskars, whose serrated cutting edge wasn't nearly as sharp, nor, therefore, as useful but less likely for me to cut myself) that went missing. I have used both the sharp serrated cutting edge and that little nook. I do have a problem with the serrated edge in that I'm left-handed and I think it would be easier to use if the serrated edge was on the other side of the blade (due to the bowing out of the blade). But I live in a right-handed world and try to adjust when it's obvious there is no other solution. It's solid in that there is no flex in the soil knife at all. Don't get me wrong - I do really like the soil knife but I'm still getting use to it; it has a different feel than my previous.

Handiest. Garden. Tool. Ever.
This is the best tool for weeding, planting and replanting, separating bulbs, and other garden chores where you need a sturdy sharp-edged tool. It's also really handy for for cutting through turf. We now own 2 of these so that my wife and I both are able to work on different sections of the garden at the same time. It is VERY sturdy, the serrated edge is quite sharp, and the handle is very comfortable. And - it's not made in China.

Most useful of gardening tools
This is my second one (I lost my first one). I love it! It is such a versatile tool. Great for weeding, and for planting pots.

A Good Solid Hori Hori
The soil knife or otherwise known as a hori hori is a good size and despite my small hands, I am able to hold and control this knife with considerable ease. It is a good weight and easily accomplishes a full range of tasks from weeding, cutting in clumps of soil conditioners (manure) and edging to cutting. With a pink handle, I can easily spot it when I have left it behind while doing my tasks. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this knife.
