Chicken Soup for the Soul Adult Cat Food - Chicken & Turkey Pate,

I recently adopted two kittens and an adult cat from a rescue. The adult is on Wellness wet food and the kittens were on Chicken Soup for the Kitten Lover's Soul. This is what they ate at the rescue so I wanted to continue it at home. While I think both brands have excellent ingredients and the Chicken Soup brand is significanly cheaper than Wellness. A great value. My issue so far has been in the shipping. My first shipment of Wellness and my first shipment of Chicken Soup came damaged and the cans were severely dented. I believe the Wellness cans were dented prior to shipping but the Chicken Soup cans were packaged poorly. Some of the cans were dented so badly they leaked all over the box. Amazon customer service was exceptional and exchanged the shipment however it was a bit frustrating. If I continue to have shipment issues I will be moving over to chewy.com.I read some comments where folk's kittens did not like the food. I was concerned about this but my kittens gobbled it up. As this is what they ate at the rescue I was hoping it wouldn't be an issue. I was unable to purchase this in the stores near me so they were on Nutro salmon or chicken kitten for a few days. They switched back to this no problem. Thank goodness because with three new cats I need all the help I can get to keep food costs down while not sacrificing quality.

I got my little princess when she was 8 weeks and she's been eating this food since then! She's now on the adult formula.After using for a little less than a year, I can say Amazon has a great price compared to local shops.My kitten's fur has always been super soft and shiny and she's very healthy and active! She is also NOT overweight. She ate this food with delight, I also tried the dry version but she preferred wet. This is the only food I've fed her along with a daily vitamin, which she thinks is a treat  Daily Best Chews for Cats-45-Chews I bought this food based on a recommendation I got, and after comparing other holistic food prices, this is such a good deal! It's good food at an inexpensive price.The only thing is I wish it came in a chunk/gravy formula instead of the paste-consistency for a variety.

My two kittens have expensive taste. I tried to get them to like Fancy Feast but they couldn't even finish it. They just licked the sauce off and walked away, waving their snobby little tails in the air. Then I went one level up and had them on Purina One (kitten) for about a month, but they'd get bored of it and leave half of it to dry to a crust in their bowls, so I got a variety of other more expensive kitten cans and would intersperse those. Of course, the more expensive it was, the better they liked it. Their favorite was the horridly expensive Royal Canin Babycat, which is about $1.25-$1.50 per little can. Yum yum they said, lapping up every last bit. But they are growing fast and eating so much I couldn't imagine supplying them with 3 to 4 cans of that per day. They told me they'd accept rotisserie chicken instead, but that was almost as expensive and more laborious. So I ordered this Chicken Soup stuff. Right out of the (bigger) can, it smells and looks every bit like the Royal Canin, but they like it even more. They start purring the minute I open it. I should mention that since they weaned, I've always mixed in a tablespoon of hot water to make sure they're getting enough water and to keep their food from drying up as fast. When you mix hot water into this stuff, it actually makes the kitchen smell a little like cooking chicken! Anyways, we're only halfway through our massive supply of 24 cans, they eat about 1 or 2 cans per day right now, and they won't even touch the other brands of cat food I had left over. I'm so glad I found this brand, it smells like real food and their coats are glossy and thick and they eat it gone. And the price can't be beat!

I've bought Chicken Soup for Kittens several times with no problems. This last order I received, every can was dented. Even the middle cans. Some so severelythey couldn't be opened by the tab on the lids. Since the case is wrapped the denting had to come from the manufacturer. What happened to quality control?

We just brought home a Mom and her 3 kittens from the shelter. The Mom isn't even 1 yet, so she's a baby herself. I went to Petsmart to get canned kitten food, but most of the options were Science Diet, and I'm not a fan, just like the cats. They did have Authority Kitten, and the cats seem to like that. I wanted another option, and I came across Chicken Soup Kitten. Not only is it very affordable, but the ingredients are excellent. It's also available throug Amazon!! A huge plus.I got the case next day, and when I opened the can I actually got hungry, it smells that good. It has some rice and potato chunks, but is otherwise very smooth. All 3 of the kittens an Mommy devoured it. Since they eat 5+ cans of food a day between them, I've already gone through 9 cans in two days. They still eat the Authority, but they love the Chicken Soup. 2 Days after I got the first case, I ordered two more. Cats are finicky so who knows if it will last, but they adore this food and I feel good giving them something with such great ingredients.Give it a shot, not only is it cheaper than the "top" brands, but it's better quality.
