I cut the dangling cords to make the shades a bit more sleek. I hung the shades lower than the hook on it would allow, so I watched a YouTube video and learned to macramé around the power cord and the top of the shade. I think this made the lamp look more finished.

Have a grow light bulb in it for my plants during the winter & it’s gorgeous, ordering another.

If you love macrame or have decor that this will be a perfect fit for? Than go for it! Don't hesitate! It is a beautiful piece! Of course it is going to be somewhat wrinkled on the strands hanging...it was perfectly boxed in a longer flat box wrapped flat in a bag... After hanging it all fell straight. The only mistake I made was that I did buy the light cord they show that is very well made and nice! But I wish I bought one in black maybe? In my opinion and my families.. they didn't like the light cord shown in the picture that I bought.. I think the colors and the styles just don't match well? The color of the macrame is a real ivory.. but it's what I wanted and I am really enjoying it!

This is a good-looking piece that adds a bit of homeyness to the room. Seems to be all cotton, so could possibly be dyed a different color, if one wished. I am thinking about adding some beads to some of the fringe. It was easy to hang, since it does not rely on a special type of light fixture to hold it, having its own hanging loop. Proportionately, I would say that it is a bit wider looking in person than it seems to be in the photo, but that is probably a good thing to keep the heat from the bulb away from the shade.
