Spectacular work
This book is really a labour of love. Delgado is obviously a superb draftsman and storyteller. In addition he has a considerable understanding of the current paleontological research which he has used to re-create an entire lost ecosystem. The scale of it is breathtaking and the beauty is utterly compelling. Even though there is no dialog and very little text of any kind , the book takes some time to read. The detail and sophistication of Delgado's world is utterly absorbing. You find that you miss things on a cursory read through, so it rewards multiple-readings.The only thing that annoyed me was the colouring on the initial chapters, which seemed unnecessarily garish. I know that dinosaurs were probably quite colourful, but this goes too far and distracts from the drawings. The majority of the book is coloured differently though which makes me thing that this was an early problem that was then fixed. If you like comics, dinosaurs or impressive storytelling then I heartily recommend this book.

Recommend for anyone interested in dinosaurs
Really entertaining book with a lot of drawings of dinosaurs, pterosaurs and marine reptiles form the prehistoric era. The book is full of drawings of all kinds of prehistoric animals and the book is a lot of fun for anyone interested in dinosaurs.

Awesome, gruesome, and classic
Loved walking with dinosour documentary and so this art drew me in. The books have a fabulous art and the "reread" is still good.

Awesome.
If you like (a) great art, (b) great story telling, or (c) dinosaurs, don't miss this book. If you like all of the above, you should really not miss this book. The artwork is stunning, and it's great to have all these stories collected into one omnibus. Unfortunately, the publisher has shortchanged both the artist and the reader, delivering the product in a format substantially SMALLER that the original comic books. Worse, the tight binding on the thick omnibus edition means that you really can't fully open each page to get the full effect of Delgado's numerous and stunning two-page spreads. And the "cover gallery" squeezes two of the original wrap-around covers on to each (small) page.

HOLY MOLY…
This work is incredible, is revered by and has inspired some of our industry’s greatest talents. Meanwhile Delgado has been working all this time behind the scenes of some of the best-ever films and animation. You cannot miss.

I love the idea of telling stories through the perspective of ...
Truly a remarkable work of art. I love the idea of telling stories through the perspective of the dinosaurs. There are not any words in the stories, but there is a lot communicated.

Must have for all Dinosaur fans
This is some of the best storytelling and art that anyone has ever done about Dinosaurs. This book belongs right next to the works of Ray Harryhausen, Charles Knight, and a copy of the 1933 version of King Kong. Buy it now and hope that some day we get a high budget animated version.

An Epic Story With No Words
I bought this book for my 12 year old son who is a BIG dinosaur fan. He loved the realistic action in a comic style approach. Even with no words it tells the story of dinosaurs, good and bad. This is a book that even I, as an adult, enjoyed. Looking forward to getting Volume 2.
