Good taste

When I was a kid, I used to love the IHOP boysenberry syrup for pancakes. In our local grocery here in Michigan, all we've been able to find is Maple Grove brand - which is not awful, but really lacking in intensity. This Smuckers product is the only thing I've found that acutally delivers. Details:Pro - intense boysenberry flavor, appropriately tart (though it could be a bit more) and total memory recall to the old school boysenberry syrup I grew up with.Con - the high fructose corn syrup puts this flavor profile too far into the "sweet" camp.If you're looking for that 1970s/1980s IHOP boysenberry syrup flavor, look no further.

I thought they had stopped making this, since I couldn't find it anywhere, and Smuckers has been discontinuing a number of old-line products. I use it as a component in a wild blueberry compote I eat almost everyday for breakfast. It is also quite tasty on pancakes and waffles just by itself. Just after I received this package, it also showed back up in grocery stores, so maybe its disappearance was a Covid thing.

Although I like red raspberry, strawberry and blueberry pancake syrup, boysenberry has to be my favorite. Found a good source of Smucker’s boysenberry at a reasonable price and fast delivery on Amazon...

The package showed up with syrup coating the inside of the box from a broken bottle inside. Obvious mishandled and or dropped.It appears even though the package was intack but the contents were destroyed and a complete sticky mess. Upon trying to report this Amazon states the item is not returnable!

Just my favorite flavor!! Had my local grocery store not reorder it I would buy local but I am thrilled I can get this flavor via mail order! Never broken always perfect. This was my second order.

My husband likes this syrup on his French toast and waffles. For some reason, maybe COVID-19, it has disappeared from the grocery stores around us. You are the only one who carries it, and I had to make my husband happy. The flavor is fruity and sweet. The thickness is just right.

The taste is really good though not as good as some others I've had, but close. Boysenberry isn't a common berry, so I think the value for the money is pretty decent. As for thickness, it's the same consistency as others I've had. It would be nice if any of them were a little thicker, but it's not bad. Overall a great product.
