Corona tools WL 6320 ClassicCUT Bypass Lopper

Carpal tunnel has made the use of my 30" Bahco loppers uncomfortable. I wanted a shorter handled set to reduce the torque. My mother has had a set of long-handled Corona loppers for about 25 years. There's nothing about them that elicits complaint, other than the cost of replacement rubber bumpers.These new ones seem cheaply made. Even accounting for the handle length these do not cut good, even on small diameter branches. I don't know if it's the quality of the steel, the thickness of the blade, or the way they are sharpened. The slots where the blades insert into the handles are twice as long as they need to be, introducing unwanted flex.I will work with them, sharpening and maybe filling the empty slots where the blades fit in the handles. I got theses from a marketplace seller for $50, Bahco has a set that is two inches longer and $30 more expensive: I unwisely went cheap. Remember the old adage - you get what you pay for.
