Great value GNSS with a u-blox chipset
Fantastic device for the money! ~$17 when purchased, which is amazing for a GNSS receiver of this accuracy. Functionality of this unit really depends on the software you combine it with. It works very well with MacOS and Linux, where it appears as a serial device and outputs standard NMEA sentences. Default settings are good for all-round use, but it can be improved for specific applications using u-blox's free u-center software. For example, improving its certainty when record stationary points, or improving its certainty at walking speed vs driving speeds. The unit has flash memory, so stores any changed settings. I would not, however, recommend u-center for inexperienced users. The unit is still great, as is, out of the box! I was able to capture points with the specified 2m accuracy close by to tree canopies in a mixed urban environment, comparing its output to high-res aerial photos. With a couple of tweaks to the settings and 25cm metal disc underneath it as a ground plane, I was able to average fixed locations over a minute or so to 1-1.5m. This is pushing it though, considering the specified 2m CEP accuracy. It was also able to get a GPS fix indoors, in a terraced house, locating me to between 5–20m. One confusing part is that some sellers online list it as IP67 rated waterproof. It would be great to have this officially confirmed. Awesome work Beitian!

Excellent reception of GPS and GLONASS satellites in Florida
I use this GNSS receiver on my personal computer to develop software using GNSS generated position information. I am located in Jacksonville, FL. This unit routinely tracks 12-14 GPS satellites and 6-10 GLONASS satellites. A Horizontal Dilution of Precision (HDOP) of around 2 feet is also routinely reported. I believe the receiver is supposed to track Beidou satellites as well, but none have shown up.This GNSS receiver meets all of my needs.

Great for short duration use
But doesn't seem stable over long term use without unplugging/replugging. I tried to use this for a long term tracker for my RV, but it locks up GPSd after a few days. Unplug/replug and it returns to service quickly, but this doesn't work for my use case.

Raspberry Pi project—works great!
Long term tinkerer, but getting this to work on my rPi was way easier than I thought it would be. The battery on the back made it easy to mount on my friend’s wheelchair too!

Works well out of the box
Can be used to set accurate time on your system, which I need for amateur radio use. That is why I got it. Remember to add a ferrite bead to reduce rfi.

No documentation or drivers for windows 10
Does not work with windows 10. No driver or documents included either.

Excellent GPS rcvr
Works perfectly! Nice strong case, cord is plenty long enough reach outside of the car. Using for ham radio digital mode APRS and JS8Call and works like a champ for gps location and time.
