Proper use of this belt keeps me moving
This belt, when worn correctly, works well to relieve my SI joint pain and seems my best alternative to SI joint fusion or to steroid injections. I am an active 79-year-old man, 5'6" tall and weighing 146 pounds. I bought the Sparthos Sacroiliac Si Hip Belt (Black - Regular size). It's easy to put on, take off, and to adjust. It's light weight, well-constructed of quality materials and comfortable to wear all day long. Initially I made the mistake of cinching it up too tightly. This caused pain. Firmly but lightly adjusted works very well for me and, of course, walking with good posture helps tremendously to reduce the pain. Sitting too long in any chair is problematic. I find that walking or even just standing while wearing this belt cuts my pain sufficiently that I don't usually need any pain relief (Tylenol or Excedrin) even when I know I've done too much twisting, bending over or lifting. Raking up leaves or using tools such as a hedge trimmer trigger my pain but use of this belt + doing SI joint stretches and exercise truly keep me moving. I sincerely hope this review is helpful to you if you're dealing with SI joint or other lower back or hip pain and are looking for a good possible alternative to surgery.

Maybe you really need this instead of a back brace.
In '22 I started playing pickleball at age 67 and almost immediately started having lower back and hip pain issues. Purchased and tried several back braces with little improvement and had to stop playing and undergo PT. After researching, I started to suspect my main issue was SI joint related. Ordered this and saw immediate and significant improvement. The difference is where this sits on your hips. Just below the hip bone and really tight, not really where back supports are targeted. SI belts basically supplement the piriformis muscles ability to hold the 'gap' that is the SI joint. Coupled with a disciplined routine to strengthen the piriformis muscles, I'm back to vigorous 4.0 play at age 70. Also, this is relatively light weight and less confining than a back brace. Only negative is that velcro failing to hold as securely after three years and occasional washing. I usually rinse and hang dry after play and the belt has otherwise held up very nicely.

Perfect support & significant posture correction
Almost Instant pain & spasm relief. Helped correct my posture. You’ll definitely notice a difference when it’s properly placed on the body. It’s just the right size and not cumbersome at all

Decent brace, clean before wearing
Product worked good. Had decent support, thin and sleek, good velcro. However, I broke out in hives where the brace touched my skin. Had to wash the brace and remove whatever chemicals on it.

Quality made, Easy to use, & Great fit.
Update: 6-26-2021 As much as I loved the initial support of the Sparthos Belt, in 9 weeks, the velcro was not holding as well. By 12 weeks, the belt would actually fall off when walking. The inside stretchy material ripped.. Odd, as I had plenty of room to still wrap tighter. Since it was over 30 days, I could not return the belt. I replaced it with the Vriksasana, which appears to have similar support. Purchased March 6, 2021: With having continual pain in my hip for 6 mos, with not much helping, It was suggested to try the Sparthos Support Belt for two weeks plus doing some additional stretches, then wean off of it. I've worn it 24/7 low on my hips (inc. wearing while sleeping) for one week with amazing results. I can walk easier and further. Day 6 feeling so good, I 'over did' causing issues today. Now I'll increase walking per day. I am certainly impressed with the support it gives, and highly recommend the Sparthos.

The hip bands staying strong and in shape. I'd of bought the size up, bc my size - 'regular' are near the '33" - 45" , and with the large size , more velcrose wrap would grip . Weight'll be going off though , bc, this belt s helping me walk better, longer and more often. Though i might get a belt and add at my medical aid collection.

This is OK.Meet the all requirements 1.Quality.2.Comfort.3. of hip joint pain previously. More than requirements. Durability, I can't say after one month. Cost is higher.
