Pull Production for the Shopfloor (ISSN)

Good general overview. I think the reader can understand through this book that the pull system is not an easy system to manage given that it features limited raw materials in inventory. If a just in time delivery is delayed and emergency stock is exhausted then eventually the line stops. However, on the up side, less inventory means more operating cash and less inventory that can get damaged or become obsolete. The book does a good job explaining this key principle.

The book is easy to follow and gives you the key notes and principles.

i bought this as I'm a Lean / Six Sigma consultant and wanted to see if there were any helpful insights in communicating the nature of pull systems in different environments (pull systems always seem to be one of the most difficult things for trainees to grasp on Lean training course, particularly in service sector environments)... the book is exclusively aimed at manufacturing and does go some way towards explaining the basics of pull, flow, kanban, andon etc, but nothing more than you'd get in Lean for Dummies or any other Lean textbook. Ok but nothing to set the world (or your business) on fire

wie der Titel schon sagt, ist dieses Buch in englisch geschrieben und in recht einfach gehaltener Sprache mit entsprechenden Erklärungen. Die Serie ist recht gut und so ziemlich das einzige an Fachliteratur in diesrer Ausprägung, die zu Verfügung steht. Für den ersten Schuss ( worum geht es, was ist das Ziel, wie setze ich das um) völlig ausreichend und angemessen.
