Boise Salt Co. Pretzel Salt – 4 Ounce Resealable Standup Pouch (4 oz)

There are some salts being advertised as Pretzel Salt that are definitely NOT. I researched online what is specific about the salt on a pretzel, and it is generally a soft, compressed salt, not just grains of regular coarse ground salt. I use these on the frozen soft pretzels we buy, when the included packages of salt run out. (It's hard to get the salt to stick to a moistened frozen soft pretzel, so a lot of it gets wasted in the attempt to shake some on them.) This is the same real pretzel salt they include with the pretzels from the store. It's a little pricey, but nothing else could replace it for the genuine pretzel taste. I've tried other kinds of ground salt, and they don't even come close.

The title says it all. Don't know why but these salt crystals proved superior to supermarket purchased "kosher salt" when making homemade pretzels. Good salty taste and enjoyed by the family and neighbors. If you are going to put in all the work into making your own pretzels it is nice to have them come out the way you desire. Recommended highly although a bit expensive for "salt".

I love this salt for homemade pretzels and bagels! As another reviewer noted, the packaging feels small at 4 oz, (see photo for reference), but a little salt goes a LONG way. It has a large, coarse grain that sticks well to the pretzels as they bake, and I was quite pleased with the results. I'll definitely keep this product in my baking arsenal..

I use the salt when I make homemade pretzels, bagels. Adds just the right amount of saltiness to them

It's not that different from kosher salt for a fraction of the price. Won't buy again

Was a little disappointed on the size and the price. However I guess everything is getting expensive. Good taste. Not sure I would buy again just because of pricing.

Previous salting attempts with other brands for my pretzel bites resulted in mostly melted salt. This salt is the real deal that you need for pretzels. It was exactly what is needed. Didn’t melt at 450 degrees and stayed on perfectly.
