Great little high performance radio!
Love everything about it. Size and features, quality construction, no plastic-strong metal case. I bought it since I have strong background noise where I live and decided that to go on the air, I would have to go portable. I didn't want to pack around my Kenwood base, and choose to go QRP. With the DSP, built in Antenna Tuner and SWR analyzer all I need is this sweet rig and and long wire antenna instead of a bin full of gear. It even cuts through the QRM here at home and although not always 5/9 copy I can hear some QSO's now. I think it will be a fun radio to take out in the field and work QRP. 73

Sweet rig.
I love this little rig. Battery life is amazing. Easy to use. So far all I have done is put a EFHW antenna on it that a bought as a kit here on Amazon for $16 and have picked up all over the USA and several DX. The built in antenna tuner and especially the analyzer are great to get the 5 watts out most efficiently.

Broke on Day 2.
I was quite excited to receive the X5105 after waiting for a week for it. When I got it, it seemed well-built. I spent a few hours setting it up for digital modes and decided to come back to it on the following day to work some QRP FT8. Much to my dismay, the SWR scanner broke on day 2 and thus the autotuner was completely useless and the radio would've blown its finals because it didn't know that it didn't have an antenna connected. I was unable to fix it through updating and downgrading the firmware. I was very, very disappointed because, from what I had seen, this was a really good QRP rig. I'd argue that Amazon and Radioddity's return policy saved me from not buying Xiegu again. I'll consider a G90 sometime here in the near future because I'm hoping that second time is the charm TL;DR: Don't be afraid to return it if it breaks down.

Great little QRP radio
I won’t do a technical review here but from the viewpoint of an experienced ham radio operator and electronics buyer, the Xiegu X5105 provides a lot of value for your money. It is literally a “shack-in-a-box” with built-in spectrum sweep, SWR analyzer, iambic keyer, and antenna tuner. Just know that this is a QRP low power (5 watts) radio.

Could be a great rig
The rig worked perfectly for a bout a week then would not operate. Had to return for a refund.

Sound quality is terrible, even after following manufacturer's advice.
Nice size. Seems rugged. Battery lasts a long time. Controls work pretty well. However, if you can't tell what someone is saying, nothing else much matters.

UPDATE REVIEW discovered the fluctuations in the power output. The antenna that you use must be very well tuned. The antenna tuner works within very narrow margins.- Once this problem has been solved, the equipment works very well. The speaker could be better, but what more do you want for the price .....THE QUALITIES IT HAS STILL VERY GOOD

Very Satisfied
This review is long overdue, as I shipped this product to the Philippines for a friend. Once received, he was quite pleased with this unit.
