Love this Switch Lite, and the color
I bought this Switch Lite and a Switch OLED (the bigger version that connects to tv too). The Switch lite is the one that stayed, and I returned the OLED. I think it’s a personal decision, so there’s nothing “wrong” with either. I had to own both to see which I preferred. For me, the lighter weight and slightly smaller size was what won the race for the Lite. And I love the yellow color. This reminds me more of the classic GameBoy’s more, with the buttons and custom colors being more nostalgic to me. The OLED is a lot larger and heavier, and while I liked the idea of connecting to the tv, I ended up using the handheld method more. The screen is plenty big enough that I didn’t need the tv (for me). Great graphics and coming from a GameBoy Advance SP, this newer Switch Lite was an upgrade but still kept the familiar look and feel of what I am used to. The OLED felt like holding a laptop, just too much stuff for me that I didn’t need. Spending many hours playing this and it makes me feel like a kid again, very fun. And Nintendo makes the style of games that I prefer anyways (Mario, happier less violent games), so everything lined up perfectly. Buy one, you won’t be disappointed! The Lite is very nostalgic, and the newer upgrades are nicely balanced with that.

Nintendo Switch Lite - Yellow Review
Great console I got the yellow color version tried Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and it runs great. It feels very light weight and was easy to setup.

Excellent (on unit number 2, that is)
The first one that I received had a faulty R shoulder button. It only registered button-presses when pressed from the top, but if the pressure was on an angle, from the top and corner, as shoulder button presses often are, it would not register, or only register 20% of the time. Also the R button made a weird “pinging” sound when pressed, like a spring noise (which is likely what it was). Also, and I didn’t even mention this in the return request, the display looked “off”. Colors were kind of washed out, and everything white was a bluish hue. I started a return with amazon, which was very easy, as I could just drop it off at my local Kohl’s, and they sent me a replacement. Replacement was perfect. I am so glad I didn’t just keep the first unit. However, I can’t shake the feeling that the first unit was already returned before, as the packaging seemed to have been opened, and the unit had various scraps of lint or dust on it, and a partial fingerprint on the display. This seems like a pattern to me. I suspect items that are returned are evaluated, and if the person doing the evaluation doesn’t find anything wrong with the item, it is put into a pile that becomes available for same-day delivery. I don’t know if that is true at all, but it seems like it might be, because, fairly often, I’m sent something that has some minor issue, and only after returning it I receive a pristine and perfect item. In any case the switch lite is great and I highly recommend it. I’ve been plugging away at Pokémon Sword. Unfortunately, due to Nintendo’s decision to NOT allow cloud backups of Pokémon save files, i had to start over completely, as this was a replacement for a switch lite that stopped powering on, and which Nintendo wanted too much money to repair, along with a warning that I would likely lose my data. Shame on them!

The better Nintendo Switch for handheld mode
For those who use/will use the Switch exclusively as a handheld device, I would recommend this system over the original Switch! Here are some things I've noticed in comparison to the original Switch so far: - The Switch Lite is far more comfortable to hold and and use than the original Switch thanks to its smaller size and ' lite'er (hahaha) weight. I can hold this small boi for a lot longer than the larger Switch before having to put it down to rest my hands. - All the buttons have that superior Gameboy Advance button feel, ie: they don't feel a tad too rigid and clicky like those in the larger Switch. Plus there is an actual d-pad here. The system is made of plastic and has a sort of coarse feel to it. It won't slip out of your hands too easily and feels nice to the touch. - Screen size is a bit smaller- 5.5 inches vs the Switch's 6.2 inches, but this ties into the greater ease of use as a handheld as mentioned before. In terms of brightness and display quality I cannot say that I see any large differences. It's possibly a bit better since it's the same 720p but in a smaller screen? Anyway it looks great just like the original (and requires a screen protector just like the original.) - The color schemes for this system are some of the best Nintendo has ever offered in my opinion. The yellow one that I got looks fantastic and I'm glad that I chose this over the turquoise and the Pokemon themed one. - Sound output is slightly lower in terms of volume than the original Switch. This is probably because the speakers are on the underside of the system as opposed to the front. This is a minor thing though, you'll still hear your games well enough. - The battery looks to be draining at a similar or slightly slower rate that the original (release day) Switch. However keep in mind that the newer shipments of the original Nintendo Switch are supposed to have a larger battery life. - You will of course be missing out on a number of features: no docking to the TV/monitor, no detachable controllers, no HD rumble or IR camera, no kickstand. However as mentioned before this a pure handheld, and I believe it serves that purpose better than its larger brethren. For anyone who already owns a Switch and is interested in this system, it's a no-brainer. The Switch Lite is maybe the best handheld made by Nintendo so far. If you are choosing between the Switch Lite and the original Switch however, the decision becomes more difficult. I play most Switch games in handheld mode. If I had to choose between one of these today, I would probably choose the Switch Lite. If you like playing games on a larger screen, or you play local multiplayer games (Super Smash Bros. comes to mind) you probably should go with the original Switch. You'll have a lesser handheld experience, but you'll also be getting some really great features that you'd miss out on with the Switch Lite.

Perfect for someone just getting into gaming!
I haven’t played video games since middle school and wanted to get a PlayStation system, but was not sure how much I’d use it. The Nintendo switch was a cheaper option and I figured it would be good for travel and to gauge how much I might actually use a gaming system. 10/10 would recommend! I’ve used it so much already! It has a great selection of games too. I wish the battery life could hold out a little more on some of the bigger games such as hogwarts legacy, but roughly 2.5 hours isn’t bad when you think about how it’s probably being pushed to its limits when running that software.

Awesome version of the switch! A lot more handy compared to the original switch. Easier to play Pokemon and Tetris on the go! Battery life is also pretty good! Came in my local version (SG) adapter. But downside about using the local version is that we can’t connect to 5Ghz networks cos it’s using the Japanese wifi specification which wont connect to 5GHz channels higher than 149.

Fantastico. Eu amei a minha compra e resgatou boa parte da minha infância jogando Nintendo. O produto chegou muito rápido, veio inteiro sem amassados ou arranhado. Não veio o adaptador da tomada para o padrão brasileiro, mas para mim não foi problema.

I really like the Switch Lite. I bought the yellow edition because I bought Lets Go Pikachu with it. The system has a very bright and colourful screen. I like using the DPAD to move around in games because it reminds me of the Super Nintendo. I have heard people say that the analog sticks can have problems but I have not found any. I decided to buy this as Nintendo offers a 12-month warranty on the system. If the analog stick does have a problem in a few months, I can get it repaired for free. It is a very light system and easy to hold and use. I bought a memory card for it but it comes with 32GB built in. Nintendo offers a yearly subscription service that includes cloud saving for your games and a library of free SNES and NES games to play. The subscription has a free trial right now and is not required to play games unless you want to play them online. Most of the games I have played are single-player and made to be portable, so I have not needed to play online so far. The only downside is that the Nintendo game cartridges are expensive to purchase, but there are some deals on Amazon and I was also able to rent some games from a local video store. The upside is that the cartridges work great and can't get scratched like a CD so they last a lot longer. I thought about buying a regular Switch system but those sell for $400 plus tax and this unit was $259 plus tax, and I like to play my games in handheld mode. My television has been acting up lately so this way I can play console quality games on my handheld and don't need a television.
